Hey everyone. Thanks for allowing me on SOCNET and in the community.
My name is Mark, spent 2.5yrs in an AT in the Navy, then 6.5yrs in the Army, most as a 19D. I've spent some time as a unit Armorer, gunner (Bradley and 240 on HMMWV and Stryker) and a little bit of time on a DM team, otherwise, the rest was general team leader stuff. Currently overseas as a LAV25 Gunnery and Tactics instructor for a few more months, then who knows where.

Thank you for the approval to join your forum.

I am a 25 year old male (26 in feb) with no military experience. I rescently earned my associates degree in electronics engineering technology and are trying to go back and finish my bachelors degree in unmanned aircraft systems science in January. I am here because I am extremely interested in joining the military, and looking for the best option that would fit me and my goals.

I have looked into ROTC programs to commission and become a pilot. I have also looked into WOCS/WOFT because I would like nothing more to be able to attend the 160th Selection course.

I have also been looking into various special operations forces to get a basic idea of who they are and what they do. I have been looking into those specialty groups because of their use of small tactical unmanned aircraft.

I am here because I am looking to draw on information and experiences from the people who have been selected for the jobs I am looking into.
