So this will be boxing only, no MMA?

Yeah, and from what I'm hearing probably 10oz gloves to boot.

What would make for a more interesting fight, even though it won't happen, is for them to alternate rounds in their respective disciplines.

Start out boxing in round 1, then over MMA for round 2, then back to boxing for round 3, etc.

Yeah if this is strictly a boxing match with boxing rules......Mayweather by KO or TKO in Round 1 unless it is fixed to go longer so it wont be such a disappointment. I will wait and watch it on Youtube....LOL

Either way it will still be a one round fight. Flip a coin for first discipline?

I don't know, I doubt Floyd hits harder in 10oz gloves than Diaz does in those itty bitty gloves (comparatively speaking) he was knocking McGregor with. Floyd just wins a 12 round shutout more than likely.

1 round in MMA and McGregor destroys Floyd swift and violently, IMO.

I want to say that happened on one of the Japanese New Year's Eve cards awhile back. But I'm pretty sure it was boxing and kick boxing.

I'm not delusional enough to think that Connor has more than a puncher's chance to win this, but I think a lot of people are going to be surprised by him in this fight. One thing I am curious about, though, is if Floyd clips him and knocks him a bit loopy, does Connor shoot for a take down on instinct alone?

I will shamefully watch this spectacle.

Your shame will be less because I and many, many others will share your burden.....

I will mail a case of your favorite Zima flavor beverage (not to exceed one hundred US dollars) to that Mid West hell hole you call a city if this fight goes 12 rounds.

You just know Mayweather would simply demand, contractually, that boxing being the first round.

Imagine how disappointed you'll be when McGregor simply lies down on his back and starts kicking at Mayweather's legs, like Antonio Inoki did back in '76.

For anyone that's interested, I've signed my side of the contract to be the stunt boner for the proposed Victoria Secret porno and to be the host of American Idol. I hope to hear back in the coming days.
