Holy Crap, if that was four years older I'd think it could be the rifle I lost in 81 when my buddy's car was stolen while er were at the movies following a range session.

The Anschutz 54 and 64 match guns are OLYMPIC GAMES quality gear. There are no finer precision rifles available, anywhere, at any price. This 64, with a good scope, is most excellent for shooting Prairie Dogs at 300 yards I know.

Your gesture of generosity is huge, Sport.

Thank You, very much.

These are exceptional rifles. I wish I had the free funds to do this. Considering the nature of the beneficiary, I can't do it justice at the moment. Considering the full package, this is the deal of the year, easily.

One of you heavy hitters, sack up and do the right thing. The hookers and blow will still be there next contract. S/F...Ken M

$1000. I have zero need for this rifle, but I don't have one.

Will it kill a squirrel?

Yes sir. It will most certainly kill a Squirrel. The rear sight slides into a dovetail . Which will work with standard dovetail mounts. The mounts come with the rifle. The rifle came with the scope blocks mounted for the unertl/target scopes. The wood stippling is deep and of a nice texture.

That was sarcasm. I'm not unfamiliar with this rifle.

Hope that the squirrels are close to the house... I took mine out a few times in high school and it got Very Heavy.

However, if you see it, it will die

I deer hunt with a 16lb Remington 700. For some reason I feel the need to punish myself, particularly my liver.

I did some research online. This gun is worth well more than the 1k I bid.

Perhaps if you were to outbid me I would outbid you. Perhaps not. Ah, the joy of an auction.

Trust me when I say that I'm salivating at the idea of having another Anschutz (would be my 3rd one) but I am unfortunately solidly broke and off the gun-buying market for a while.

You're a Class Act Spork. But then, I already knew that.

Spork and I completed this transaction today. Kudos to Spork for supporting the cause. Beautiful rifle, obviously lovingly maintained.

We met up over in the lovely Shenendoah Valley, completed our transaction, had a nice breakfast. Then he returned to occupied Va and I returned to the set of Hee Haw.

I'd be lying if I didn't say that I was insanely jealous of you, Gsniper.

Having another 64, or another 1407, would be very sweet indeed. I'd love to start my 15 yo daughter on a small-bore regime.

And I'd put a scope on it for those weekends in which she didn't have a match to attend... you know... for marauder squirrels and such

Spork, thank you. That was a hell of a thing you did.

My grandson is probably going to end up with it. He's a little young for a rifle that size, but he'll grow into it. It's a fine piece of equipment. My first Anschutz. Most of my rifles are spray painted camo, I just don't have the heart to do that to this piece of craftsmanship.
