Not only is Glock a role model, it can also be symphonic.

I wanna get my hands on the 17M, I myself have a 22 which I have had over 20 years, can't seem to bring myself to part with my first handgun. Agreed with most 17 is great but I think my next pistol purchase will be the 19.

I hear you man. Years ago we were stuck with the 22/23/27 as our only options. I picked up a 27 due to its size and concealability. Never had any issues shooting it and my quals were always comparable to the 22. All of that's a non issue now that we can carry whatever Glock we want barring some exceptions.

I have a 19 and 17 and pretty much carry the 17 only. Conceals well in shorts and a t shirt as long as its carried appendix with a good holster. I never even shoot the 19 anymore. Next on the list is the 34, with the grip reduced a little I'm sure it could be carried concealed no problem lol.

My 17 is my go-to pistol. Absolutely. I owned the 19, 26, and I currently have the 43. I'll carry around the 43 in my pocket if I can't conceal the 17, otherwise I just carry the 17.

As far as mods go, I'll have to do some research on swapping out the guide rod. My normal mods are just night sights, trigger bar, and grip tape.

Not the best pic. In reality, the slide is a really muted matte gunmetal gray, though looks shiny in the pic due to the flash and overhead light. I like it. Good protection. Is it better than the original Glock finish? Probably about the same, but I like the look. To me was worth the extra $35 the LGS charged.

Sold my 26 as it was just collecting dust and wouldn't do anything a 19 couldn't do.

I have a first gen 17 that I enjoy shooting. I usually tell folks to be familar with Glocks as they are everywhere.

My EDC is the HK P7 PSP.

Hard to go back to shooting a Glock after being part of the P7 Cult, and shooting my Les Baer 1911s.

P7s and Custom 1911s are like Omega and Rolex watches. Glocks are Casio G-Shocks.

The Glock 19 is also kind of the cornerstone, but I personally don't see that much difference carry wise between the 19 and 17, so I say go with the 17.

Never been much of a fan of the 26, though my brother likes the platform and carries now on a daily basis, and the 26 is very popular with the upper echelons in Cambodia. Put several of thru a course with their 26s. ($3500 for a Glock 26 in Cambodia. )

BTW, anyone try a Tungsten Recoil spring guide rod in their 19 or 17? I usually swap out the plastic rod for a SS one. Hear mixed reviews on the tungsten ones, great for reducing muzzle flip, felt recoil, but may not stand up over time for high round counts. ?
I did this mod (recoil guide rod) on my G23 .40 comp. I only have around 1500 rounds downrange, but no wear I can discern. I added an extended slide stop (Vickers) and an extended mag release which I ended up dremeling down a bit.

And did I hear you say $3500 for a G26 in Cambodia? Geez, almost makes me wish I knew someone in the export business, that is quite a margin. Wonder if the Shark Tankers would be interested? Probably a mountain of regulations to jump over for sure, sigh.

^It is the added Tax that makes them high, I am afraid. 9mm bullets though can go for around $5 each on the black market.

I love my G17's.

-2 G17L's
-G17 Gen 3
-G17 Gen 4

Buying Glocks is a no-brainer if you're an LEO/MIL and can get in on the Glock Blue Label program.

The G17 Gen 4 is my favorite, BTW.

We're almost a mirror image of that fucked up state. AZ has some of the best gun laws in the Nation. CA's proximity only serves to heighten the disparity in freedom. And where might you reside since you don't show it?

I'm guessing that you're actually IN CA... Nah. Skipped right over us and went to CO. Liberals don't like the heat.

Hopefully AZ keeps doing things the right way. I reside in the state of permanent confusion.
