I have a love of lever guns and 30-30's. Though I did give my last Win. 94 in that caliber to my nephew. OTO still have a Win 94 in 32 Remington. As well as 2 Model 1873's (new one in 357 and another in 32-20.

Just a classic American rifle, despite a Winchester fetish I have always liked the Marlin 336.

LP - nice looking setup. I'd get one but I'm killing so many deer with my pick-up truck, I don't need one...

I still hunt with my 30/30 marlin I bought in '78 at Ft Lewis.. I killed most of my elk with that rifle when I lived in Colorado. Never put a scope on it as it was just too much fun climbing the "hills" with. When I guided it made every mile with me and the horses, and it got beat all to hell.

If I had to bet I'd say the Winchester 94 and Marlin 336 have accounted for more dead deer than all other rifles combined.
Agree.

Have always liked the way the 94 looked and have always liked the way the 336 felt.

Concur...I also prefer a side-eject to a top-eject.
