Sig Sauer MCX Virtus Pistol .300 Blk

I am considering getting a Sig Sauer MCX Virtus Pistol in .300 Blk. Has anyone shot one of these and what are your thoughts on it?

I didnt get to shoot it but I did get to finger f#$k it at Shot Show. It is light weight and feels great. Easy sight acquisition. One of the many M4 variant rifles that you can find.

Have not shot it or held it...however, I understand that it is completely designed around the 300 BLK round, so I am interested to learn whatever you figure out about it.

I have one, I've put a few rounds down range and like it so far. I haven't put enough rounds through it to say if it's reliable but so far it's doing a good job.
Buffer system/gas piston is really what sets it apart from an AR, if you like the AR feel and controls you'll like the mcx.

I was able to buy it just as the "rattler" was announced so I got a decent deal on it.

Do you have any specific questions I can help answer?

Sure, thanks man.

How does she run on subsonic and supersonic ammo, with and without a can?

What are your impressions of the recoil spring system, has it given you any problems and how is the perceived recoil vs a standard AR buffer system?

Have you had an opportunity to run it hot and if so how does it perform?

I've only ran supers through it, I have some subs but don't have a can to make them super usefull.
I've ran the fiocchi 150 grain supers and had no ftf or fte issues.

Recoil feels similar to an AR to me. It doesn't feel anything like a scar or ak, the bolt/bolt carrier is pretty small so you don't get that "thump" feel like the ak/scar.

I haven't had any issues with the recoil system, there was a mandatory recall for the recoil system a while back, mine was outside the sn window and has worked flawlessly. (Again, not a ton of rounds put down the pipe).

I haven't ran it hot or really beat in it yet.
