Elizabeth Warren wants to “Nationalize all buisness”

I did a search and did not see it on here.

I heard this yesterday as I was walking out of my hotel. I didn’t have a chance to research it until today. I cannot find it on any of the major networks. With Bernie and that women from NYC openly calling for Socialism, this has to be akin to jumping the sharks in politics. It seems to me that the Dems are doing a left face march, double time to the extreme left. I wonder if she will get re-elected or run in 2020?

ETA: I do not see any dates on the bill so I am not sure if this is new????

I cannot bear to listen when this woman speaks...that nasally voice, it's like fingernails on a dirty chalkboard. But I did suffer through watching her speech on this 'agenda'. Good luck with any big business campaign contributions, Pocahontas

She just takes it to a magnitude higher than crazy Maxine, who wanted to nationalize the oil companies. And I too cannot stand listening to her talk, but I do listen. I am always amazed at how such bad ideas can come out of the brains of supposedly, highly educated individuals.

I believe her name is Low-IQ Maxine. Crazy is Joe Biden.

ETA: My apologies. Upon further review, Crazy Maxine is one of her 2 names. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_o...y_Donald_Trump

That's an idea that's never been tried before. We should get right on that and see if it works!

Good! I hope they keep at it. All those big business owners/CEO's etc who are very vocal about supporting democratic policies will now have one very good reason to get away from them.

Between this, and Cuomo saying America was never great, I couldnt ask for anything better.

^^^^I agree. Let the Warren's, the Ocasio-Cortez's, the Cuomo's of the world..... and THIS LUNATIC running for governor of VT. keep running their suck.

He/she/it doesn't even know what socialism is (starts trying to explain at about 2:12) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EXk1_znw-yY

If the Republican nominee doesn't win Vermont based on this interview alone, then we truly are doomed.

Nationalizing business is a big step toward fascism.

Nationalizing business huh... Sorry for my ignorance, but that seems to sound an awful lot like communism, and didn't we just get done fighting a pretty expensive cold war with that system of horse shit?

If gun control laws controlled crime, we wouldn't need cops.

^Dude, that was like 30 years ago. It's gonna be completely different this time around. (sarcasm)

We could just take like, all the rich peoples money, and give it out to the poor, then they could have a good life,...for like a year,...until the money runs out, then..., then...th...

After taking economics, I believe we could give poorer workers a living wage, in exchange for the government benefits they end up getting anyway. Or we could cut all government wellfare, and just see what happens, but there's no reason to believe it won't just make America like 16th centure France, surfs, peasants and the bourgeoisie. Economics is no fun...

The issue with providing a living wage is suddenly, everything gets more expensive. In my neck of the woods, housing accounts for the majority of personal expenses. The reason housing is so expensive is due to nimbyism and unions which block expeditious development.

I want to know why National Review is the only somewhat mainstream media outlet that seems to have any interest in reporting on this.

Someone once said that you could take all the money from the rich people in the US and give it to all the poor people and after a year or two, the rich would all be rich again and all the poor would all be poor again. I forgot the actual percentage, but repeated surveys show that over 90% of millionaire households in the US are first generation millionaires, which means they got rich by working for it. Some people have the brains, guts, and drive (it takes all three) to be successful, most don't.

If you believe any of this will work, read Atlas Shrugged. Our government has proven they are incapable of running anything in a proficient manner. Anything we turn over to gov control we should be prepared to live without.

Beat me to it. I'm sure Warren's comments will play well with the CNN and MSNBC crowd who call everyone that is not in agreement with them a fascist.

Like I said in another thread, the RNC/GOP candidates need to run ads from the Fake Injun, Bernie, Mad Maxine, Ocasio-Cortez et al and sprinkle in clips from Venezuela, Zimbabwe, Soviet bread lines, Cuba and the like.

They like to say that those were "old time" Commies and Socialists... they, as the new smarter generation, feel they can "do it right" this time because, well you know, all us old people are dumb fucks and the real Commies didn't know how it was supposed to work...

After watching several hundred interviews of these freaks, I have come to the conclusion that they are mentally ill, delusional, and have no grasp on reality as most of the rest of us experience it in daily life. They are all for free speech, as long as it goes along with their beliefs and "feelings". (As someone famously once said... fuck their feelings...) They also believe that if they don't agree with what you say, or if they don't like the way you look, or the clothes you wear (MAGA hat), they have the "right" to physically attack you. ...and will- and do.

As evidence of this mental illness and delusion, I offer the recent couple who thought it was a good idea to go biking through ISIS territory, because they believed that everyone is basically good, and that these poor ISIS members were just misunderstood, and all the information we have about them is just concocted bullshit... We can show them all the head chopping videos in the world, and show them exactly how evil these fuckers are, but they, and people of their generation, will not believe it, blame us like it's our fault they are that way, and you know, basically it's all Trump and white people's fault...

With all the information at our fingertips, all the history, all the prime examples of the failure, no, the epic failure, of Communism and Socialism, you would think that our society should be getting smarter and contain no one dumb enough to want to try those systems again... but, alas, no. Then, they (ANTIFA and others of their ilk) have the gall to call our present form of government, police, and our President and pretty much everyone (else) white... Nazis, white supremacists, and Fascists... which I find laughable. I mean really... laughable. They have no idea that, if there really were Nazis, white supremacists, and Fascists in power, they, and all their little black skinny jean mask wearing friends, would have already been invited to take a short train ride, followed by a Zyclon B shower and been the guest of honor at a bonfire weenie roast over rail road rails from which no trace of them would remain. Millions of people experienced what real Nazis and Fascists were and didn't live to talk about it. ...and these little shits think that they are "oppressed"... Fuck their feelings.
Rant over. Yes, I feel better now.

We had uncle joe force this kind of shit on us post-WWII. Surprise, it failed spectacularly.
The arguments about new commies being better and about to do it right unlike their predecessors...sigh. Apart from communist utopia Morus envisioned, it's all complete bullshit. In Soviet Union each and every leader promised that it will be him who will make communism happen (yes, it was socialism marching towards communism all the time) and that this mythical time is close at hand (give or take 20 years).
Also, free market (of sorts) still existed. It was officially the most reviled, putrid ganglion of capitalist shit dangling on the fine socialist, collectivist boot that was supposed to be gotten rid of immediately (who cared if this 'immediately' stretched for decades). Unofficially though, everyone who had any connections or push necessary to do it engaged in semi-barter trade. Including nationalized, official enterprises.
But all of this was then, now it will be the true communism/socialism/whatever. Man, commies never change.
