I know nothing about these companies nor do I know anyone who has heard of them. However, sometimes young companies have some hungry, studly operators teaching some extremely relevant POIs. Then again, these unknown companies could be total a-clowns. That's the risk you take with unknowns.

If you're DoD you have the leverage because the young company WANTS your business. Ensure it is clear what you want and expect from them. Before you commit ask for their CV's/Resumes, ask for references, ask for a demo video (especially if you're shooting), ask for a POI, etc. If you treat this as a business transaction (which it is) then you will be successful.

PS Tier One has a 757 area code (Virginia Beach) which insinuates SEALs - might want to ask over there, too.

I have a very good friend and former teammate that is an Explosive Breacher Instructor for Northvector. I'm assuming this is for explosive breaching, given that's one of their main specialties as I recall. Heard good things, but then like I said, my buddy does work for them.
You may want to continue to seek a completely objective source.
