I'll disagree.

He would have known that McGregor was going to show up (remember the multiple camera angles and close ups?) He could have also known that McGregor was going to make a ruckus. I think he'd only be charged if the script indicated the actions that ensued.

Same as fisticuffs at the weigh-in.

Same here. It has turned into a slightly more legitimate version of the WWE. Not interested.

Actually, I think White would be on the hook regardless of what the script said.

I don't know how NY law works in this regard, but in Illinois you can be charged as an accomplice if you were involved in planning or encouraging something that goes awry and results in some crime occurring, in this case damage to property and personal injury.

It will be interesting to see how it plays out, I figure that McGregor will wind up pleading much of it down and agreeing to pay damages to the parties involved.

Very few multi-millionaires go to prison. One report said the cops were all fan-boi'd out at the station. All up to the DA in that area, I guess.

Quote:
The New York County District Attorney is the elected district attorney for New York County (Manhattan), New York. The office is responsible for the prosecution of violations of New York state laws. (Federal law violations in Manhattan are prosecuted by the U.S. Attorney for the Southern District of New York.) The current district attorney is Cyrus Vance, Jr.

District attorneys are legally permitted to delegate the prosecution of petty crimes or offenses. Prosecutors don't normally handle New York City Criminal Court summons court cases, and the Manhattan DA has a memorandum of understanding with the NYPD allowing the NYPD's Legal Bureau to selectively prosecute them.

McGreggor plead guilty to disorderly conduct. His visa will not be effected and he will have no criminal record.

I bet he ends up fighting Khabib later this year for what will be the biggest fight in UFC history.

UFC 230 in NYC would be my guess. Everyone gets their cut.

It's official. McGreggor vs Khabib October 6th in Vegas.

I'll definitely be tuning in for this one.

I'd hold off on buying that PPV just yet. If UFC sticks to their recent new norm, Conor will pull out the week of weigh-ins...

Nah, more like Khabib will have an injury and pull out.

I'll disagree again.

Nate Diaz exposed McGregor's ground game. McGregor flopped on the mat like a fish on a pier.

Conor got lucky with one punch against Aldo....why didn't he fight him again? Aldo's ground game. (that said, I'll grant that the UFC didn't want an Aldo rematch again since (1) Aldo would have won and (2) Aldo doesnt drive PPV sales). We have crappy rematches every other week but they never even considered giving a guy with the belt for 10 years a rematch?

Other than that, who has Mcgregor beaten? Alvarez? Chad Mendes? Really? Not quite the cream of the crop.

Khabib can take a punch and will show that McGregor's ground game is weak. The dude is an animal...not a showman.

Could the fight be the male version of Rhonda Rousey and Amanda Nunes?

The Official UFC fight promo for McGreggor/Khabib dropped today. As an Irishman, I’ll be rooting for McGreggor and hope to see an early round knockout of a supposed unbeatable opponent.

I’m far from an MMA expert and would defer to you or anyone who has real experience. However, you seem to be very dismissive of his accomplishments.

Lucky to knock out Aldo? Didn’t seem lucky to me. We don’t know that Aldo would’ve won a rematch..but we DO know he’s a shit draw and that’s why the rematch never happened. In my opinion of course.

Alvarez not a legit fighter? Well, he beat RDA and was the lightweight champion. How about Mendes, is he not a world class wrestler? Beating the much bigger Diaz does nothing for you?

To be clear, I’m not trying to stir the pot. Just wondering why you’re not impressed by McGreggor.

ETA: Aldo lost twice to Holloway??, who was defeated by McGreggor.
