Isnilon Hapilon was widely seen as ASG's leader up until he was killed in Marawi along with the Maute brothers in October 2017.

Yasser Igasan was (is?) another high level ASG commander and apparently succeeded KJJ, though he is rumored to have died sometime in late 2017 or early 2018 from wounds suffered as the result of an AFP strike on Sulu.

Not sure when - or why - Hapilon rose to the top of ASG over Igasan, or who has stepped up to fill the power vacuum over the past year.
