Lawrence Diggs/Oldest WW2 Marine Vet

Mr. Lawrence Diggs came through USO Reagan yesterday for a function in Quantico. His story is quite amazing so I wanted to share it here (the 12 minute video is worth watching):

The way Mr. Diggs spoke of his training reminded me of Cass' stories a lot... ""Oh, they put some hurt on you!"

Not quite oldest Marine vet (if the 93 age is correct). My grandfather turns 95 in March, served in VMSB-236 in the South Pacific. Distinguished Flying Cross, 5 Air Medals, and a PH- he has some good stories too.

I stand corrected.
