How long for DOS security clearance?
Greetings brothers,
I finally TC has submitted my security clearance paperwork to the DOS. Any idea how long this process is taking? I have heard 90 days from some recent contractors and 180-250 from some company reps. Just trying to lay out a time line. Also, I will be heading out to WPS training in the near future any tips and info would be great. I will be a team medic when I arrive. Thanks, Jeff |

You were given info from the people you intend to work for, who do this all day long, every day. You should probably listen to them. If you can't learn to listen now, don't show up.
For future posts, consider that those same people (recruiters, training cadre, team members, shift leaders, PMs, etc.) are on here seeing your posts asking questions that they have already taken the time to answer. |

I mean, I thought maybe it was Deja Vu, but nope, you two had this exact conversation 2 months ago...

I appreciate the tact. Not a matter of listening, just a matter of gathering as much info as possible from as many credible sources as possible to make an informed decision. I respect this group as credible and experienced sources and I appreciate the input. Thanks.

I'll never understand why candidates don't trust the timelines I give them. If I could get your clearance granted tomorrow I would, but its not even up the the vendor after a certain point.

I thought I was too for a second.
So what was wrong with the accurate information that you received in your other thread? Quote:

No better answer 275RLTW. Every candidate is different, there is no rough estimate. These companies want to get you cleared and deployed. Be patient.

My recruiter said the exact same thing to me. Could be 120 days, could be 2 years. Perfectly said 275RLTW.
