9 confirmed dead in biker shootout

Looks like the cops did an outstanding job.....massive shootout in the restaurant parking lot between multiple clubs and the police.....recovered over 100 weapons.....all the deceased were 1%'er bikers, no cops.

So much for the 5 S's.

Nonetheless, good on the Waco LEOs for containing the firefight and limiting the casualties to the 1%ers.

Well that had to be a busy day. Sounds like all's well that ends well. However, I can't imagine this is actually over. There will almost certainly be blowback between these OMG's. Hopefully should the body count rise, it will not include any innocents.

Just as a point of question, who are the khozhacks...err..Cossacks? I've been trying to get some topical information, but the Google I've been using just bombarded me with articles about recent events. I'm sure a wiki page will show up soon, but as of yet, I haven't been able to find much about them. Thanks in advance if anyone knows about them and posts a brief overview..

Voila! (I scanned through this Wiki and it is fairly accurate):

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cossacks

These bikers should all adopt Chupryna hairstyle - that would have been hysterical.

Thanks (with an emoticon smiley face)! But, there's no clear link (other than name), as far as I skimmed, to the MC, which is what I was wondering. I had garnered its name association to the Cossacks in eastern Europe. The wiki link, which is damn near a college course, didn't have much at all to do with the motorcycle club. I just was wondering about the motorcycle club, its generation, and its relevance to Texas.

Not good - I would bet this doesnt go away anytime soon. This has been brewing a while - both the babdidos and cossacks fly a Texas territorial rocker or texas county rockers. combine that with a past history of bad blood and it was just a matter of when and not if

i dont know about the cossacks but the bandidos have a LOT or support clubs. Lots of S.Y.L.B. patches throughout the west with links nationwide.

all those A type personalities arent going to let this go.

Hmmm, supposedly only bikers injured/killed. Mutual combatants. Sounds like a 'win' for society. S/F....Ken M

I actually laughed out loud when I saw the news blurb on my phone. Self correcting problem.

Is there a white supremacist angle to any of the involved gangs? One of the news wire photographs showed a biker with 'SS' tattoos.

Fuck 'em, they're no better than the Crips and Bloods. Thugs and criminals, the lot of them.

Thankfully, no innocents were killed or injured.

Jaysus. I think I saw that deputy at last year's Macy's Thanksgiving day parade- he must be giving his grounds crew a break. On that note it appears as though the Cossacks have a weight requirement, too.

Story said five MCs were meeting there- and scrolling through the pics it looks like one was a veterans organization based on their colors. I know dick about that culture, but wonder if this is a regularly scheduled event? Why else congregate in public with known enemies?

At least 5 gangs in attendance, those 2 are likely allied.

Neutral ground, most likely. Common in that world.

"Cossacks" is actually a typo, it's supposed to be "Cock sacks".

^^ My thoughts too.

9 less to worry about, police should not have intervened. Except with the employees of the establishment there were probably no innocent bystanders in the area.

The news and the statements by the police makes it sound like the the dead and wounded were all shot by other bikers. I bet some of these guys were shot by the police?

Glancing through the pics at the link someone else posted, it appears the police also have a minimum weight requirement.
