Based on 17-21 age group, my score sits at 247. Using my age group(32), I stand at 265. As a Marine, the only reason I'm doing the Army test is b/c
I'm going to give SFAS a shot, if I can get the opportunity(I know I have a lot
more working out to do, good thing I can still ruck).
73 push-ups
76 sit-ups
14:22 2mile run

score(17-21): 278

Hoping for a 300+ next month.

I did a diagnostic Monday.
1.5 mile: 12:10
pushups: 49
situps: 80
pullups: 9

Pushups were chest to floor, situps were elbows to knees, pullups were palms forward, no kip, dead hang. Run was on a hilly course at noon in FL heat.

I figure if I can perform under those conditions, the next time I take a PFT will be easy by comparison. I have some work to do still, but I've been seeing some excellent progress. I'm in week six of the RASP PT prep course. The only thing I've modified is long runs on ruck days.

Not much of an improvement since last month, but I'm gonna chalk it up
to the heat, humidity, and slacking off on my interval/speed training this month.

AF PT Test:

Waist : 32.5"
Pushups : 59 (1 minute)
Situps : 57 (1 minute)
1.5 Mile Run : 10:14
Total Score : 96.6%

If we score higher than our Group Commander we get 3 days off from work. I missed it by .8 pts. I failed in my eyes.

Guess that's 8 laps around the mile track then....

I thought I had posted my APFT from June, but I guess I did not.
It was not good.

Pushups and Situps were marginally OK (over 70% in both with only being able to work out three weeks prior due to still recovering from injury) but my 2mile run was a hidious 17:26 (sadly, this is actually passing in my age group, just not by much).

In November I have to go through a selection to stay in my section.

This an RPFT with SU and PU at 70% of 17-21y.o. age group and 5 mile run in 40mins or less. Also, 6 pull ups and a 12 mile road march to EIB standards. I have a long ways to go on the run and pull-ups and I will post my score pass or fail in November.

20 pullups

A score of 251. A morethanusual sorry showing on the situps. Not knocking out 80+ is frustrating.

Anyway, ran this one in 100F -- seeking to place blame for any poor showing on the heat. Some might consider the resultant mild bout of heat stroke to be a flaw in my planning, but I think that is the case only if you think negatively....

APFT:

PU: 65
SU: 70
2 Mile:14:40

Extra: Pull Ups 15

17-21 Age Score: 264

Goal in the next 3-4 weeks:

PU 71 (100 Points)
SU 78 (100 Points)
2 Mile: 14:00 (86 Points)

17-21 Age Score: 286

I'm doing the 100 PU Program I posted earlier in this forum which I am hoping will increase my PU score to 100 points.

Trying to get my run time to 14 flat which I will be doing sprints and hill/speed drills to help shade off 40 seconds. But 90% of it I know will be heart and digging deep!

Marine Corps PFT

Interesting thread. As of last Saturday morning:

17 pull ups

102 situps/cruches (2 minutes, arms across chest, elbows touching knees)

20:34 3 mile

If my math is right it is a 270 out of 300. Maybe someday I can be a real boy and get 20 pull-ups

Update:

PU: 65 (still working on the 100 PU Program will wait to max out in a few more weeks)
SU: 70 (same thing trying a SU program will wait and max out in a few weeks)
2 Mile:14:00!!! (droped 40 seconds off my time trying to get to 13:45 next week after a week of sprints first)

AFPT: 267 I think once I max out my PU and SU after my training program I can get this bad boy way up but small steps foward like this one keeps me going.

After using a good solid sprint routine mixed with a long slow runs I was able to get my 2 mile from 14 flat to 13:35 in just one week! Next week I hope for 13 Flat-13:25.

PU and SU are still the same as I'm still working on both programs and will wait to post results in a few more weeks so far though I can see improvement.

Pull Ups-19
Sit Ups/Crunches-126
Run-23:15 3 mile.

Not my best, but then again, I have the sleek physique of a gorilla. First time I have tried this after booting all pain meds for my ate up back (which I am now regretting)...

I'll take it, and seek improvement. I give myself two weeks to get that run to an even 22:00.

I don't know if it's because I'm running uphill in my neighborhood...but everyone's run time is minutes faster than mine. Now I'm not the best runner. But I'd like to think that I'm fairly fit when it comes to cardio work outs. Where are you guys running? A track? A neighborhood?

Whatever it is...All of these times are motivating me to drop my run time as much as possible, starting now.
