I bought a pair of Serengetis over Christmas
http://www.serengeti-eyewear.com/pro...tte-black.aspx
Mainly because I was fed up wearing m frames when I'm wandering around in a suit. I've got a head the size of a pumpkin therefore I need something fairly large. So far I'm very happy with them.

Question Revision hellflyand Vipertails with Socnet or similar logo?

If admin and such agree I could do some sort of printed arm on them and sell them with some sort of a donation to the site? Or other worthy cause.?

I was able to get three pairs of Ray-Ban Shooting Glasses.

I'm fortunate to find my favorites of more than 40 years since they don't make them anymore.

In 2004 I bought my first pair of Oakleys, M Frame Hybrid S's. Some dickface took those out of my humvee in Iraq in 2006. About the most pissed I have ever been. I loved those glasses. I was issued the SI M Frames at RFI in 05, not the 2.0s, just regular my frame with the clip over the lense, turned those in when I ETS'd. I bought some XLJ Half Jackets in the array for 85 bucks in September 06 in Iraq. Here it is 2012 and they are on top of my head in Afghanistan. My wife hated the M frames, said they were too big. I may buy a pair of the regular M Frame Sweeps soon.

My wife told me that my XLJs may need a replacement. So we were at Union Station in DC and stopped at the Oakley store, where she made me try on almost every pair. I settled on Straight Jackets. I just ordered them a little over a week ago and they are on their way to my APO right now.

I have been issued Oakley, ESS and Wiley-X. I prefer Oakley. I would like to get a pair of the Ray-Ban Aviator smalls at some point too.

For work stuff I like the ESS ICE series. They are stout and they are cheap. You can get them in all colors and they are only like 15 bucks for replacement lenses.

How embarrassing.

My Googlefu sucks gigantic dick, this morning. I feel like MikeC2W looks.

Anyway, I'm looking for the MARPAT digital neck straps, and cannot find them anywhere. Not living near a Marine base makes the search harder, apparently. I ran a search of this thread and no joy their, either.

Anyone have the ability to point me where I need to look to pick up a neck strap? Looking for either green or tan MARPAT -- hell, maybe both....

No sir, not close. I'm not looking to hijack the thread, if you aren't familiar with the product, no worries -- someone will be -- so no need to weigh in unless you have some good gouge....

OK, I just got a coupon from my buddy who is a Hoven distributor.

http://usa.hovenvision.com/

He just gave me a pair of these a few days ago:

Fit and finish is good. It's not Oakley levels of bombproof, but good. Lens quality is very good. I have had better than 20/20 vision all my life, and I can see irregularities in lenses immediately, stuff others can't see. These are damn good lenses. So, point is, if you want cheap, fashionable shades than aren't junk, these aren't bad.

Coupon: WCR25OFF for 25% off the Hoven site. That would make the Hammers around $47 or something, a steal.

Oakley's Standard Issue site has expanded its membership to Veterans. Now those who are Oakley brand loyalists like me can keep shopping there after ETS'ing.

The free kind. When the Wiley X and ESS guys come buy with glasses and gloves and all the new shit they want us to test, we take it and beat it all to hell and report back.

Oakley Flak Jacket 2.0 ballistic lenses and polarized as well. The only glasses for me. Or an older set of M-Frames from the late 90s-early00s.

We used to refer to "neck straps" as "croakies", not sure if anyone else has heard the term.

I've got a genuine set of Flack Jacket 2.0 frames/lens I got for a great cheap price in Dallas FT Worth airport a few months back.

Best sunnies and eye pro I've ever owned.

I had 3 sets of counterfeit Oakley M frames bought in an Afghan bazaar that all quickly fell apart, these genuine ones are holding up really well.

Still rocking Oakley over here. Gascan, Fuel Cell w/ grey Cerakote and Batwolf w/ tan Cerakote. All polarized. The Batwolf's are by far my favorite. I'm debating on getting a pair of the Oakley Tombstone Prizm Spoil's for the range. Hopefully work will pick up the tab since my wife would shoot me if I dropped almost 3 bills on shooting glasses.
