Departing for Tanzania on Friday.

Tanzanian safari, we'll be back around the 18th. We did a safari a couple of years ago, and stayed at 4 different places, tightening that up this time staying at only 2 places.

Have fun.

I haven't been to Tanzania in about 8 years, but had a great time.

Tanzania had a much, much better vibe than Kenya.

Thank you.

I did not consider Kenya, same thoughts as you.

If it's not too late enter via Arusha, not Dar es Salam, unless you like playing a rugby forward at scrum time !

Brilliant, you can now drive from Arusha all the way to Port London via Mozambique at a pretty good clip. You've probably got your itinerary worked out for you already but Mwanza is worth a look if only for the African Queen, boat. Loved Tanzania much more than any of the neighbouring countries. Have a great trip, aye, M.

Just stay alert if you go into Dar. When I was there in 2012 the main Mosque downtown was openly flying the black AQ flag. Definitely some bad actors there.

Photo. Just observing, really. We were there for the great migration last time and booked our trip this year to coincide with same.

We booked with &BEYOND. It is a luxury tour.

The important matter is - you're returning to the Dark Continent.

Congratulations.

I have now doubt, that's why I had to chuckle a bit when my contacts at AFRICOM told me that.

Have a great trip....

Spent a couple of months in Tanzania conducting MEDCAPS and VETCAPS, traveled through the Serengeti and Ngorongoro crater...it was right out of Nat'l Geographic seeing all the animals. Best trip ever courtesy of Uncle Sam.
