Yep. I am afraid it is going to start coming down to this.

I opened the link in your post. I can't believe what I've just read. Could it be that this BS is written only to get more clicks, views and thus more revenue? Because if someone genuinely thinks that way....

Looks like the SC upheld the travel restrictions.

I agree. Now the new narrative is because of a stolen SC seat.

You called the the election in Mexico. AMLO won. Expect more desperate people moving across the border.

I think he will rapidly discover that the realities of sitting in that seat are far different from what he was spewing on the campaign trail. Much like Trump is having major difficulty building The Wall. There is also the fact that if he goes too far off the rails and starts fucking up the status quo ($$$ incoming to the Cartels, and the MX Police/Mil from their drug smuggling/Production activities) he can be removed from power. I expect to see a lot of fiery rhetoric without much action, substance or radical change. If he gets radical with Trump, Trump will always one-up him and make him look foolish. It's what Trump does. But, yeah, things are going to get interesting.

The new ICE director seems like a no-shit sorta character. Given the trends in USSC makeup, Congressional elections, public opinion, etc, I don't think it would be wise for AMLO to attempt to escalate anything with POTUS.

Given Trump's dealings with Kim, Mama Merkel, Canadian PM Truvada, etc so far, I think AMLO will be extended the olive branch of peace to start off with. If he pulls some stupid macho Latino nonsense, most Americans, and overwhelmingly most Trump voters would support beating those SOB's like they owe us money....because they do, lots of it. And we know it. Put a 50+% tax on remittances($30B+/yr) and otherwise make it hard to do business with Mexico and further south and they're fucked, and they know it. S/F....Ken M

I want the 50% tax on remittances now. I sure hope POTUS continues to use it as a hammer.

One of the a-holes who ran DHS Sec Neilsen out of a restaurant was a DOJ employee. May have been a violation of the Hatch Act.

So several Dem's introduced a bill calling for ICE to be abolished, and the GOP is calling their bluff bringing it up for a vote. Now when being forced to actually put their money where their mouth is the bills creators say they won't vote for it. I was somewhat worried about the midterms, but these guys are their own undoing. http://thehill.com/blogs/floor-actio...ll-up-for-vote

Yep, let's abolish ICE. And let's do exactly what the most rabid on the left want, not replace it with anything else and fully open our already porous borders. That way, this can happen even MORE.

Good job San Francisco, you are getting exactly what you asked for...maybe someday your citizens will realize what that is and change things. But I doubt it.

I especially like where the pompous bitch from the Sheriff's Office say's they won't respond to the ICE detainer because "there's nothing to respond to." Because no California judge would ever let a serious criminal out on low bail...that would never happen. Never. And if they did that poor, sweet misunderstood illegal would never harm anyone else...never.

I didn't say he was...because what country he's from doesn't matter. He's here illegally and being helped to stay, both directly and indirectly by policies put into play by the politicians, activists and people of San Francisco.

Peru or Mexico, it makes no difference.
