That's pretty simplistic, the chain of events should include communication, a protocol for silent communication in case of danger and obvious signs of a fall from a height like arm and leg injuries, footprints etc.

This is why. Speculations, not facts. There's 1000 different scenarios as to how it happened. Either way, he was probably screwed from the start if he fell into a ravine without help close by and quick to response.

From credible USBP sources:

Agent one responded to a sensor activation that was deemed to be 'good traffic'. Agent one called for help and agent two responded.

Area in question approximately 8 foot drop from top of concrete culvert to sandy floor. County Sheriff was third person on scene, walked all over crime scene, obliterating all other tracks with his own. Both Agents found with the backs of their heads bashed in.

USBP is being kept out of the investigatory loop and the Sheriff stated he thought they must have been run over by a passing 18 wheeler.

BTW, I'm an AEMT and falls from 8 ft. don't bash your head in... especially not on your typical sandy ground.

"bashed in" sensational water cooler talk or as noted by the medical examiner?

"Backs of head bashed in". "hit by 18 wheeler".

Based only on what is stated above I find that hard to believe that it is the only injuries. Again, what does the ME report say?

As to heads being "bashed in" after and 8' fall I find it easy to believe. But again there is bashed in and then there is bashed in.

This is all speculation.

Winter is here again oh Lord,
Haven't been home in a year or more
I hope she holds on a little longer
Sent a letter on a long summer day
Made of silver, not of clay
I've been runnin' down this dusty road

I've been trying to make it home
Got to make it before too long
I can't take this very much longer
I'm stranded in the sleet and rain
Don't think I'm ever gonna make it home again.

Do we really have to go back and forth? The first agent died...from an 8ft fall... the respect of the deceased I'm going to stop commenting.

"which would be expected to be the most common cause of death in all non-survivors in the literature, only occurred in 27% of our patients who all survived their transport to hospital"

I have heard scene was described by Agents there as "grisly"

That is from people who work near major highways, see major wrecks, and deal with corpses is the desert all the time in various states of decay.

That being said, as always, details are ridiculously slim. The local sheriff seem to be spouting all sorts of stuff, from falling 8 feet in the sand, to two guys getting hit by passing truck mirrors.

If there was a locale there and he walked all over the place messing up sign, that would be my first suspect.

Bashed in was the exact wording I was given. BP agents are not all doctors and paramedics and rocket scientists; highest level of education required is a GED.

Bashed in means bashed in.

I did my best to distill the facts and discard the rumors and speculation and tell the story of what happened as I understand it to be true.

Yep. Wouldnt be the first time that local LE was on the cartel payroll. He may not have done the bashing but he could have been intentionally destroying evidence.
