Be a little more specific

Are you asking for anyone that was an advisor or an instructor down there?

There's a big difference in those two words.

Either/or. Probably more interested in Advisors, though. Saw a post on medals mentioning some stuff from El Sal, brought up some memories from my 12+ months there, wondering how many others were there.

Should be a few, we were only there 12 years or so.....

I was a bus driver, so I got to see a little of all of it.

Well...this is probably OPSPEC but....*whispers*...when El Salvador went down, I was currently owning El Salvador, but I was secretly a Ranger Sniper Recon SEAL who had to spy on American troops when they were doing Recon Sniper Raids on secret enemy camps so I could save the president.

Wouldn't answer my PM either.

Come back when you grow up.

Dark-Colitis on some other threads was asking about being an SF officer.

I'm just laughing at THAT thought.

Thumbs down

Buddy got the Kiwi injection because he decided to talk infantile smack, and then not have enough of a set to respond to JSOC's and Doc's PMs, probably asking WTF in different inflections. He was talking shit about a place where, as you can see, several guys earned their pay by putting their collective asses on the line. I can only imagine what the did there, but I would be willing to bet they saw some shit and did some more shit, stuff that wannabes can only ever say they did in one of their wet dreams.
That's what I love about SOCNET the most; unlike the "real world" outside the military, stupidity IS a crime here, and it will get you booted, end of story, stop payment, message ends.

Smart wannabes and cherries can learn from Dorkly-Dickless' example, while the stupid and overly immature will ignore the lesson at their own peril.

ok sorry...it just appeared to me that he was poking fun not to the original poster but to all the people who were claiming veteran status but were lying, particularly at that one poster (ranger something or other) who claimed to do all sorts of stuff but was lying about every word. I dont see how he was making fun of any BTDTs or the original poster. maybe you should e-mail him or something to ask, because this just looks really unfair to me. but then again i dont know anything about what happened so I'll just back down.

It looks like the mods have enabled IP logging, perhaps we should wait for them to comment on the likelihood that Darcsolitus and this new guy are the same?

I think IP logging only makes a difference when the user has a static IP adress (cable, DSL, T1, etc.). For dial-ups and smart broadband users (Who have dynamic IP's), IP logging doesn't do much in the way of identification, unless you trace the IP back to the ISP and find out who was assigned that IP recently.
