Kelly Webb was in a lot of ways the prototype modern boat guy.

He was the speaker at my SWCC graduation in 1997. I remember having a pretty lengthy discussion about my lanyard as he shook my hand.

Fair winds and calm seas DBG.

Brunswick Commercial and Government Products (BCGP) is deeply saddened by the passing of Kelly Webb. Kelly served as Program Manager and critical member of the BCGP family since 2010. Before joining the BCGP team, Kelly had a storied career serving his country in the U.S. Navy and is a retired Special Warfare Combatant-Craft Crewman (SWCC) Master Chief. Kelly is often referred to as the ‘father’ of the SWCC program thanks to his role in creating the SWCC career path. Kelly had been asked to speak on several occasions at the SWCC schoolhouse in Coronado, which is named in his honor.

Kelly touched a great many lives and for those of us who were so fortunate, we know that he would not want us to mourn his loss but to celebrate his life and keep fighting the good fight. As Kelly would say, building ‘tough boats for rough missions’. His impact to the combat craft community will surely be missed, though his legacy will live on for generations to come. Kelly was a man of service, valor, and honor, a proud father to Jorge, and a hero to us all. He will truly be missed.

Details of the service arrangements are as follows:
Visitation at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, December 18th with a service immediately following at 2:00 p.m. All are welcome to attend.

406 S. Orange Street New Smyrna Beach, FL 32168
