All who may have read John0321 posts, do not take it the wrong way.

One of the fallen was a close personal friend and he was expressing an inside jokes between the two.

Blue Skies to those Marines lost.

Regards,

JP

Rest in Peace ,Marines. Thank you for your service and sacrifice for this greatful nation.

A 31-year-old Herndon resident serving with the Marines in Afghanistan has died.

Gunnery Sgt. Ryan Jeschke died during an attack in Afghanistan on Friday, according to the Marine Corps Times.

Jeschke was in the Helmand province in Afghanistan supporting Operation Enduring Freedom, according to a Department of Defense press release. He was a member of the 1st Marine Special Operations Battalion, out of Camp Pendleton, Calif.

Jeschke and two other Marines were shot to death at a police checkpoint in Sangin, the Associated Press reported. The shooter is believed to be an Afghan National Police officer, and has been apprehended, the AP reported.

Jeschke was a critical skills operator and a Purple Heart recipient who had earned four Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medals, according to the Marine Corps Times.

"He will be remembered as a hero that helped those in need," one woman wrote on a tribute page created by Marine Parents Inc

....Mote was an admin augment to our EOD team in Ramadi in '06.....and even then as a young corporal who had never worked with us before, was an incredible asset......at the end of the tour, it was a no brainer to approve his latmov package...truly a great loss.....

Rest in peace man. I didn't make the connection until his picture was posted. I went to BRC with Ryan. He was a good dude and a hell of a libo buddy.

Semper Fi, old friend.
