I can't get "Band on the Run" out of my F'ing head but earlier I was listening to Pearl Jam. "Yellow Ledbetter" has great guitar!

SRV..."Couldn't Stand The Weather"

I remember the video of Stevie jamming in the rain with swim goggles on...classic. The 21st anniversary of his death was last week (Aug 27th 1990). A day after my b-day and the day after I got out of boot camp.

JAFO;

gee... 21 years ago, eh?
I was traveling to Hardwick, Vermont to pick up my shooting prize from Caspian Arms.
I had to pull over and explain to my family the magnitude of what had just happened.

I like 'It's Flooding in Texas'.

Speaking of SRV. He lived in Ledbetter, TX. The guitar in Yellow Ledbetter was indicative of his influence on Pearl Jam as well. (more
Useless knowledge). Heavy 13ga super slinky strings. That's why his fingers looked like hammers.

I did not know about Ledbetter, TX and that explains the title and why the song was so heavy on a blues guitar pattern compared to their usual.

I haven't heard this song in years. I loved it when I was a teenager, the perfect 70's summer love song. I think I may have to buy an MP3 download
