Computer Purchase without OS

Does anyone know a good source to buy a laptop without an OS already installed? I'm a Linux fan for my personal system, so I'd rather try to get a bit of a discount if possible since I'm not planning to use Windows.

OEM versions preinstalled cost the manufacturer about 30-50 dollars. That’s about how much you would save... Just buy something on sale and reformat and install the OS you want t.

Most of the major hardware vendors have a "build your own" feature and you can easily configure a box with any windows OS you prefer and often without an OS installed at all. They usually cut a few bucks off for the no OS option.

You could always try these guys. They can be pre-configured with Linux.

Depending on how much you want to spend there are options out there to buy a laptop without an OS. I purchased my gaming laptop without an OS and saved a $100 bucks off the purchase price. I would check out Sager laptops, their laptops can be configured without an OS. There are others but that is the only one that pops out in my head other than buying from the website in which I purchased mine. Hope this helps out a bit.

I buy my laptops from https://www.originpc.com/

you can buy without an Operating system, and the specs you can pump up are pretty amazing.

I built the perfect laptop for churning large amounts of data, and it runs Ubuntu perfectly.

I have a Sager, bought it at xoticpc. You can buy any laptop there without OS.
But, Clevo is the most boring manufacturer ever.. But they are solid.. Allot of manufacturers have clevo builds, then rebrand them.

If I were to get involved in a some project, or heaven forbid get a job, I might snap one.

I run Ubunti on a VM on my MacBook as I'm really not doing too much heavy work.

I snagged a year old darter with 32gb ram and a 1tb SSD on ebay for a less than half of it went new to study for certs. If you dont want to drop the full amount, or dont have the job paying, look at the used galaga pros, and darters on ebay which can be plucked in the 4-600 range if patient.
