We haven't seen anyone human interact with Harris yet though, have we? Maybe he's more than human? Waiting for the plot twists to start....

Loving this show so far. Great cast, and there is so much to lead story lines- morality, hosts malfunctioning, guests interacting with the world, whatever the fuck Ed Harris is seeking in that maze. HBO has another winner here.

Like Black Hole Sun on the player piano, and how they had a string version of Paint it Black during the big shootout scene in ep.1? I had to pause it and rewind a bit to make sure my ears weren't playing tricks on me, but yeah, those songs were in there. Very cool indeed.

I can see where this show is going, either there will be a twist at the end of the first season, or at the end of the whole series, where we discover that Westworld wasn't set up for the amusement of humans(even though those going there think it has) but as a test of AI (shades of ex machina) which goes haywire when the creators of the systems are killed and AI robots take over their roles as they scheme to find a way out of Westworld and into the human population areas.

Based on what little I know of the series so far.

This show is getting good! Sunday's episode should bust the story wide open.
The ending to last episode was really good.
I too, am hooked.

I think this week's was the best episode so far. It's cool to see Anthony Hopkins and Ed Harris in a scene together.

Totally agree...it almost seemed as if Hopkins told Harris, "Go ahead, have at it."

This seems to be the direction they're heading in. They need to sell it better though, because so far its hard to feel sympathy for the 'feelings' of machines. Been gone over many times, as with BladeRunner and Terminator 2, and at the end of the day, they're still just machinery.

I wondered if anybody was still watching. I was interested in seeing how the show was going to play out, though I didn't necessarily like the show. It was laughable how the security guards were storm trooperesque in their inability to hit shit. Did you catch the post credit scene involving the female gunslinger?

I was just reading that season 2 probably won't debut until 2018

I went from watching Hallmark movies with my wife to watching the season finale. I realize the understatement here, but the difference in acting was amazing.

I really don't have any insights. I'm just incredibly excited for season two.

The producers are going all Sopranos on their viewers.

I seem to recall long intervals between seasons on that show. Same with Game of Thrones, although with GoT the production hurdles are a lot greater.

Well, Season 2 episode 1 sucked balls.

I made it halfway through before going downstairs to reload some 300 Blackout.

I didn't think that it was bad. I think it was just an episode to set up the rest of the season. I liked it well enough, even if there weren't any big reveals.

I don't know about that.

First, and most importantly, while there were zero boobies in this episode there was Sizemore's full-frontal scene. With the hosts now in power I think it's unlikely that we'll see a return to the kind of sexual violence or subjugation of female hosts that led to most boobie shots. Bye boobies

I think the fact that there are other parks set in different environments (perhaps other historical periods) was a pretty big reveal.

I think the fact that Dolores and Maeve are no longer the only sentient hosts is a pretty big plot point. Note the woman who was stood against a wall with a shot glass on her head and killed - in the Season 1 finale the same woman was shooting shot glasses off a host's head. That kind of "turn about is fair play" seems to indicate that the "army" of hosts aren't going to be mindlessly following Dolores'/Maeve's instructions but running on a mind/memory of their own.

I think the fact that Bernard, who we know to be a host, was able to satisfy the DNA scanner to open the door to Charlotte's secret subterranean lair was a pretty big plot point. A exceptionally smart host, whom we know to be capable of murder is undetectable as a host but is now on the "inside" of Delos' efforts to clean up the mess at Westworld. What could go wrong there?

Two other things that came out of that same series of scenes: "drone hosts" and the fact that Delos is recovering and storing guests' DNA for some purpose. Though what they're doing may or may not be illegal it's certainly underhanded and unethical and HAS to lead somewhere.

I think the scene between The Man in Black and the "Young Ford" host was a pretty big deal. Ford is "dead", but clearly something of Ford is left still playing his games in Westworld. The new storyline here for Ed Harris, the "game just for him", should be pretty interesting.

And that's just off the top of my head after one viewing; there are probably others.
