Trailer looks good, and since the writer was involved in Sicario and Hell or High Water (both of which I just recently watched) I'll give it a look see.

If you are in the area(Montana), this movie advertises on FB for extras. It does look pretty good.

So far, everything Taylor Sheridan has been involved with has been pretty good. This looks like it could be like an edgier version of Dallas.

OK, watched the first episode.
I liked it. You can see them setting up a lot of conflicts.
As good, if not better, than a lot of other crap on TV

Yellowstone follows "the Dutton family, led by John Dutton, who controls the largest contiguous ranch in the United States, under constant attack by those it borders — land developers, an Indian reservation, and America’s first National Park. It is an intense study of a violent world far from media scrutiny — where land grabs make developers billions, and politicians are bought and sold by the world’s largest oil and lumber corporations. Where drinking water poisoned by fracking wells and unsolved murders are not news: they are a consequence of living in the new frontier. It is the best and worst of America seen through the eyes of a family that represents both."

From that summation quoted in the trailer's comments, I'll pass. In a Hollywood culture that ran out of fresh ideas decades ago, somebody decided to recycle Bonanza.

It's been quite some time since I've bought a Season Pass on iTunes.

I got this one and I've watched the 1st Episode twice. I like it - alot.

After 2 episodes, I'm a tentative YES. I agree with the Dallas and Bonanza comments, it could go that way. Right now they've got me for the next week.
I like the family characters; I think Costner brought back a little of his Devil Anse Hatfield character he played last year. The womens ain't bad to look at either.

So I wrapped this one up last night. I'd watch a second season because it kept my attention.

Did anyone notice a lot of the background music sounds like Game of Thrones, especially with the cello?

For that matter - a lot of similarities between the Duttons and the Lannisters.

A lot of WTF situations in this series... major modern day cowboy and Indians.
I cannot help but notice the ONLY grandchild is half Indian and half white which could be a good resolve to all the dysfunctional fighting factions.

I enjoyed the first season, although the ending was a little lacking- not as good a set up as GoT or Justified. But I'll watch the next season.

I watched the first couple of episodes then lost interest. Not worth my time.
