Just got the below message

The speculation that Deputy Scot Peterson hid while Nikolas Cruz slaughtered 17 people due to his inability to determine where the firing was taking place just got destroyed.

The Miami Herald has released a transcript of audio recordings between Peterson and the Sheriff’s dispatch in which he clearly states firing is coming from building 12.

Then — wait for it — he ordered other deputies to stay back at least 500 feet.

So Cruz was able to slip out of the building and 17 people lay dead or dying in the building while Peterson ordered deputies to not to go in.

That is confirmation of the failure of the century.
Peterson belongs in jail. Period

Mother of fuck. That’s unforgivable. Regarding the SWAT guys going in....apparently someone had to. That’s a suspension I’ll take every day of the week. Fat F*#k you to anybody telling me to stage unless you can articulate some wild circumstance that would indicate entry would be immediately detrimental to those inside. I can’t think of a realistic situation where that would be the case though.

Sometimes radios don't work with all the traffic on the air when exigent circumstances are at hand or dead spots in the school/hospital/Mall etc. occur as well. That is always my back up story. Go in...always.

I posted it once before all was known. Now, I'll post it again: PUSSY MF'r.

Certainly not a representation of the other 99% of Leo's who do good things for their community every day.

Those swat guys deserve kudos. They should have broadcast an "unless otherwise directed" message and then turned off their comms - I mean had comm problems. I hate conventional thinking, as I think most who choose to volunteer for "better units" do as well. Pussy move suspending them - back in the day we'd just have to do a 12 miler or two on the weekend, and the PSG would do it with us. "Conventional-think" - ugh, kill me now.

Looks like Sheriff Israel doesn't have the confidence of his Deputies.

Now fire the assclown Governor.

Broward deputies union votes 'no confidence' in Sheriff Israel

1SR,
His term ends at the end of this year.
As a retired state worker, there are many issues upon which he and I don't agree. But I will say I respect the fact that when the lawyers told him he couldn't waive the Gov's salary, he directed that his pay be reduced to a $1 per month and then he drove on. That saved the tax payers hundreds of thousands of dollars every year.
He directed that both of the Gov's state airplanes be sold. A jet and a prop plane. He rides his own jet (that he pays for, maint., hanger, crew, flights) saving the state millions of dollars over the past 8 years.
His security detail flys with him for free, saving taxpayers thousands of dollars

He is far from the typical politician that takes all the perks and wants more.

And again, I have issues with some of his policies, but I am of the opinion he is not the typical blood suckers who get elected to public office.

That is a pretty decent pension. I'm hoping FDLE will un-tangle some of the mess surrounding that Sheriff's Dept and the school district.

There's no "way to go FL" in there. He hasn't been charged with or convicted of a felony, therefore they cannot suspend or revoke his retirement disbursement. If that changes after the internal and criminal investigation into his actions, then the status of his retirement disbursement will change. Due process applies to him too, even if we don't like him.

He does, however have a very fat pension.

3% multiplier per year of the average of the high 5 years of earning...Broward pays pretty well and he did 32 or 33 years.

Agree that it is, what it is. Sucks, but cowardice(?) is only a crime under the UCMJ I believe (Misbehavior before the enemy). But it may all go to some parents (tax payer money) if he looses the wrongful death lawsuits I'm reading about.

My department has a "cowardice" policy. Not sure if any others do, but we do....

But can they take (reduce) your pension because of it? If you are fired for violating that policy in the last week of your career, do you lose/get less pension?
