McGregor at it again

This cat is a trip. One day he may really lose it and seriously hurt or kill someone. Read on a forum that the whole thing was staged. Does not look that way to me. I hope the gets the shit sued out of him.

I doubt he considered the impact on his future international travels when he decided to act the fool. Just one of many ramifications. Even if his MMA career survives how many countries are going to open their arms to him?

How about Ireland....or Brazil? I'd bet they will. It's not like he needs to take his show All over the world to make millions of dollars.

If it's not with the UFC, it'll be with Bellator. If not Bellator, someone will start a fight promotion with McGreggor as their guy. He is far too big of a draw to not make big time money again in the near future. Someone will sacrifice their integrity for the all mighty dollar.

I don't know how true the story is, but one report I heard on ESPN radio stated that McGregor and a bunch of his entourage got word of the bout that was going to take place in NYC, hopped into his private jet with the intention of disrupting all of the pre-fight activities.

I initially thought it might have been some sort of staged stunt that got out of hand, since word has it that UFC ppv and ticket sales are not as good as they once were and this might have been a way to bump up some interest.

The more I hear though the more I think he just lost it and impulsively flew over when he heard that his title was up for grabs.

Apparently there was an incident between Khabib and Artem (Conor's close friend) earlier this week. Conor caught wind of this and hopped on a private jet with his crew to confront Khabib.

Conor had two credentialed employees at the event that let he and his crew in a backdoor.

I'll bet they are no longer credentialed employees at this point.

Anyone who thinks this is going to seriously damage CM's career hasn't paid attention to professional sports in the last twenty years.

You're probably right, but one can hope. He is talented, but for me his ridiculous-ness overrides.

Yep. A 145lb MMA guy getting hit by a hambone haymaker thrown by a 240 lb bouncer can easily mean lights out, and you just know someone will get it on their phone when it happens.

He's going to learn an expensive lesson in US tort, and how, as someone with wealth, it does not pay to run around causing injuries and damages...that shit is going to cost him big money.

McGregor needs to plea down that felony or it might impact his visa status. He's got money for a good lawyer so that's likely already agreed upon.

My suspiscion that this was all just a planned media stunt gone overboard seems to have some support: https://www.joe.co.uk/sport/new-deta...al-plan-171902

Now, that McGregor owns his own fight promotion (McGregor Entertainment) under which he's negotiating Fight 2 with Mayweather, the odds are high that his UFC antics are just fabricated adverting to support growing that promotional business.

"Hey, Conor McGregor now that you made multi-millions off the boxing match vs. Floyd Mayweather Jr., are you going to Disney World?"

As Mr. McGregor's attorney I can only tell you much of his fortune will be in my pockets. I can take no further questions.

That's what it seemed like to me when I first saw it, which means that Dana White would have known about it in advance.

Which would put him on the hook for any criminal charges or civil suits that might be filed. So far there hasn't been any indication that he will be charged with anything, so perhaps it was just McGregor carrying out his own stunt to up his profile before him and Mayweather announce their rematch.
