Black Mirror

If you are a fan of "Twilight Zone" you will absolutely love this show.

The first season is now available on NetFlix.

Very well written, well acted (some familiar faces), well filmed and the stories are very thought provoking.

Of course it's a BBC show, US TV wouldn't be able to produce anything this cool.

Seriously, don't miss out on this, it's really a gem.

It's on the audience channel on direct TV too. Saw one last night.

I've heard the same from others.

Sadly, down here that show and other good ones like it have been all put into yet another additional upgrade/pay channel.

I'm done.....replacement "smart TVs" purchased, cable getting cancelled, and switching to streaming.

Thanks! Will check it out now.
We still occasionally mention The Twilight Zone or Outer Limits in our house.

It seems that more than 85% of what we find worth viewing comes out of the UK.

The 'season special' was pretty interesting. Thanks for the tip.

Turns out the wife and I had watched the first episode a little while back. We enjoyed it but weren't wowed. Now I see it is more engaging than I first thought.

Finished it last night. The last episode wasn't as strong as some of the others.

The "punishment" one and the "memory" one were amazing.

"Be right back" and "White Bear".

That is only season 1, there are 2 more seasons not available on NetFlix yet.

Watched the first three episodes tonight, and while I will probably carry on watching, #3 fucked with my mind a bit, bringing "stuff" out of closets from where it (they) had been crammed away for years, and to where hopefully they will return by morning, as tonight is a lost cause.
Not cool

I'm four episodes into it. Very original and thought provoking. Episode four got me thinking about how close we might be to singularity, replicants, clones, what have you. Does something have to be organic to be sentient?

The wife and I binge watched all three seasons over the Christmas weekend. We found it quite thought provoking and often times, very disturbing. Not in a disgusting kind of way, but rather in the technological advances to "monitoring" and techno-behavioral analysis.

The episode "Nosedive" had us both thinking it might be time to get away from the constructs of social media. We started discussing how eerie it has become with ad placement on other pages that are seemingly unrelated. For example; if I look or buy something on Amazon, an ad for that same item comes up on Drudge Report or Fox News or any number of websites. Including the scary factor of Facebook.

It seems there's more to do in life than "like" or comment on what someone posts about the plastic sheen of their web-life. The real troubles and everyday suck is never posted. Only the "Hey, look at me", or the political meme of the day. The artificiality of social media has gone berserk. I'm thinking New Years resolution #1 will be the time to switch off for a little while.

Season 3 seems to be a mix of British and American produced episodes.

I'm just glad there's MORE Season 3.

As a long term fan of ALL Twilight Zone and Outer Limits I'm just glad there's something to finally fill that long empty space.

Damn, talk about another meaning of pig fucker! 1st season was great. So far 2nd sucks. That whole stationary bike and cartoon thing was a waste of 30 minutes. John Hamm's piece was boring. Starting SE3 today.

Really digging it.

Yeah that was the last one I watched.
