Hello, I am a "retired" military spouse. My DH did 20 years as a Navy corpsman - 16 of those attached to Marine Corps units. His retirement is leading him to some contract work. He is now an AEMT with bio and security complete.

Welcome. Isolated Duty Corpsman? Perhaps I have read it wrong here on SOCNET over the years.

Just want to say that it is an honor to be part of this small community of SOF warriors. I served with Cco 2/75th and Graduated from Ranger Class 502-79. Doesn't seem that long ago. Still had that need to feel that adrenaline rush so got into law enforcement and finally retired. For all of you who have served in the war on terrorism my deepest respect and sincerest thanks for carrying on the fight. Hope I can see some names of you guys who served back in the day.

God bless and RLTW!

Hello everyone, I'm a long-time lurker. Recently decided I should get around to posting an introduction.

I was an enlisted Army reservist for six years, as a 36B. Spent some time in Iraq. While in the reserves I finished my undergrad and went to law school.

I'm now an attorney in the Midwest. My practice is exclusively civil litigation, with an emphasis on consumer protection.

I doubt if I'll have anything to contribute to this site, but I suppose I now have the option to participate. Thank you all for having me.

USCG IDC is Independent Duty Corpsman. 1 enlisted Corpsman being "doc" for a boat or station. (I was IDC on the Cypress)

Isolated duty Corpsman also applies to me. Lone doc in Attu Alaska.

From what little I know, Attu is sure isolated! There was a famous rescue there that involved some fancy flying and great work by the RW crew.
