I'm told rain at a wedding is indeed good luck.

Getting married during a hurricane sure sounds cool to me. She does not agree.

Thanks for the well wishes, they are very much appreciated.

I wish you and your bride a long and successful marriage...regardless of the weather.

Congratulations!

It's still raining on my marriage.

Congratulations, may the ceremony be memorable and the happiness last forever.

If you're getting married, a little rain/wind is the very least of your problems.

Just kidding (kind of); congratulations and good luck!

Thanks for the warm wishes from you fellows with more time-on-planet.

I was optimistic for a further westward shift, but that doesn't appear to be happening right now.

Bump...

Stay safe. Looks like New Orleans is gonna get douched again. I hope there's no looting tomorrow and everyone behaves in a civil manner helping their fellow Americans.

There's 3 places on this planet that are guaranteed to get fucked hard, every damn year. New Orleans, Haiti and PI.

Can't say it enough: fuck NOLA. The epitome of liberal bullshit policies in action. Millions spent on "RACIST STATUE REMOVAL" and two weeks later flooded in what is considered a medium sized rain storm. Because of the "dollar for you dollar for me" politics involved in keeping the city above sea level.

Bourban st renovations were like 6 months behind the day they broke ground. Someone thought 100 year old city plans would be accurate.

And I'm glad that show Night Watch finally left Nola and went to Florida. " Maa Cher, we a city of love, we rebuilding but we gonna overcome Katrina". And the damn Second Lines in every fucking show..... Like there's a fucking brass band marching down Canal street on Tuesday at 10:37 am everyday. GTFO. You'd have to find a part of town without an active crime scene.

Edit to add:WGH0922, the animosity is not directed at you.

That was back before the Consent Decree.

Not uncommon, lots of Atlantic storms hit Europe, this one may be a little stronger than most.

Likewise, a lot of Typhoons go into Alaska as their final hurrah.

A remnant low, absolutely, it gets absorbed by whatever system is marching through. A full blown hurricane showing all the characteristics of a tropical cyclone, almost never. The last time one of these systems hit Europe was 2005, it was a tropical storm as I recall and it made landfall in Portugal. And I have no recollection of an extra-tropical system surviving this far north.
