We had terrible experience with PMC ammunition at the training center. I quit buying it.

US Armorment has .45 cal 230 grain FMJ Federal and CCI Lawman for $250/1,000 rounds and GM308M2 175 grain Gold Medal Match for about $25/box. You gotta call or email for the 45's they were an unadvertised deal he's running at another forum but I got some.

I had some issues with a couple boxes about 1500 rounds ago in my HK USP 40. I did not shoot them through a crony, but I had to visible check my bore at least twice to verify the round cleared the tube. Sounded and felt like a very light charged round. It did clear the tube but never reached the paper at 15 yds. I shoot in a grassy field so I could not recover any bullets. But it is the last time I will 'save money' by buying them.

For my reloading bullets, I still highly recommend http://www.tjconevera.com/

I just picked up another 1000 40S&W for less than $100 and 1000 55gr .223 for $69
FREE shipping always, and I have never ever been dissatisfied in over 15 different orders.

Their buy it now price is the same as the reserve normally, here is a link, they also have some 75 grn .223 as well..http://www.gunbroker.com/Auction/Sel...sp?User=948630

Gun Gods

Can someone give me the pro's and con's of soft point ammo? I just got done reading page after page from other forums that was a complete waste of my time....

What I gathered -- away from the deer hunter forums -- was that it is a great bullet for urban areas. Which eqautes to me: good for a zombie defense *cough* I mean, home defense round. True?

I just tried Silver Bear .410 slugs and 9/15 had to be fired at least twice to ignite the primer.(normally I would've lost interest and thrown them away, but with the ammo prices these days...) I thought maybe it was a gun problem (Springfield M6) but Federal and Winchester went with no issues.

I've had no problems with SB 9mm tho.

9mm

Fellas,

I just paid 229.99 for a case (1,000 rds) of remington 9mm 115 grn at the Bass Pro shops web sites. The best part is that you can take 6 months to pay for it interest free. (They charge your CC over 6 months) They say amounts are limited, so buy early and save.

If you can catch your Wal-Marts early, you can get your hands on some WWB 9mm for $20/100rds. I thought about picking up a case but didn't want to charge it.

Here is an update, the 9mm is still on back order, no relief in sight.

Sigh.....

Maybe that's why they do the 6-months-interest-free thing...at the end of the six months, you might get your ammo!
