Wait, as for music, Pucsifer.

Exactly. I have not listened to a regular radio since I got Sirius 4 years ago. I go between Octane, Hard attack (tons of Static-X and Pantera), and Patriot radio. Makes the miles fly by on the road. Like you stated, regular radio is BORING and predictable with the same 20 songs OVER and OVER. I paid for the lifetime subscription for two receivers. Hopefully they wont go belly up.

Lots of metal over here.
Right now its a mix of Amon Amarth, Sonata Arctica, Black Label Society, and maybe some Dethklok.

The bands I keep finding myself going back to a lot the last few weeks are: Killswitch Engage, Devildriver, Throwdown, Slayer, and Arsonists Get all the Girls... Plus a smattering of other metal/hardcore/metalcore bands.

Is Metalacalypse still on Adult swim? I downloaded all their songs on limewire before my last computer took a dump on me. I've been trying to get back my collection.

I'm listening to the slow rythmic breathing of my wife lying asleep on the couch after a marathon three and a half hour lovemaking session this morning.

(maybe next time she'll wait till I get home..... )

Warren ****** and Derek Trucks....
Warren has been running Gov't Mule since the beginning, and has been playing for the Allman Brothers and the Dead for a damn long time, too. A very busy Mo Fo.
Derek is married to Susan Tedeschi, and besides the Derek Trucks Band, he's been lead guitar for the Allman Brothers for a decade, too. Also a busy dude.
Together they are astounding. Saw them a couple of weeks ago at the Merriweather Post Pavilion in MD, where Widespread Panic opened (fookin excellent) and the Allman Brothers headlined. Make no mistake.... Greg Allman lent his name and a few vocals to the mix... but the show was all ****** and Trucks. Awesome.

Yeah, but remember the Q-Course when me and the "Social Claymore" invited you to go out and drink our faces off and you were too busy studying weapons manuals or something.

The orchestra in this song is pretty sick.

I can drink and study at the same time. Drinking with the Social Claymore is (was) a good way to get arrested.

He has an annual Christmas Jam in Asheville NC every year. The doors opened at around 7 or 8, and the Allmans were still playing at 4 in the morning. Warren and John Paul Jones did a duet version of Going to California. Best show I have ever seen.

The Drive By Truckers are pretty hard to beat for current rock and roll.

Well, I can't say you're wrong about that. Although, I usually was able to get him to behave.

Some other new music by female artists:

Can't say enough good things about the Yeah Yeah Yeahs, that girl rocks like nobody since Shirley Manson or Courtney Love.

I see we have lots of metal aficionados here. I didn't realize it had such a following anymore until my roommate in Iraq introduced me to the likes of GoatWhore, A.C., and that sort of thing.

Agreed, they haven't really done anything all that original since Follow the Reaper. However, they were kind of the pioneers of the Finnish style of melodic death metal (differing from Sweden's MDM). Also, they've inspired a lot of other good bands like Norther, Mors Principium Est, and Kalmah.

Another good Finnish band: Catamenia

Well, both times I've cracked this thread its been late. So, tonight I'm listening to conjure one, sting and some other pussy shit. If it was daylight, I would totally be into some hardcore shit like Hatebreed (CT hardcore represent) or H2O or Slipknot or something.
