LE Grants

I did some poking around in here but the last info I could find was from 2005. Trying to get my team funding for NODs through grants. I understand itís a lengthy process but itís a capability that would but super helpful for us. Thinking of seeing about hiring a grant-writting company but wouldnít have the slightest clue who or where to start.

If anyone has some fresh pointers Iíd greatly appreciate it.

Or.....if you have 20 PVS15s and some lasers laying around Iíll PM you my address..

DOJ just sent out a huge list of Grants that they are offering. I got the list from a friend that works as the LE Manager for a USAOs Office.

No clue if you can purchase those with these grants but toss me a PM with you email and I will pass the list onto you.

I'll talk to our grant writing guru. He was sent to a class/school on how to write grant requests. I look him up and ask for some guidance or a link. I'll PM it when he responds.

I used Praetorian Digital. They wrote a grant for me for some equipment that we needed. I had zero idea on how to write a grant. They were not inexpensive, but if we are awarded the grant, the fee is reimbursable.

I wrote a shit load of grants, the best advice is to find out where the hub of your local UASI/SHSP grants is and to to the meetings. The AEL (authorized equipment list) will tell you if your grant will qualify for UASI/SHSP grants.

It's all about relationships and the Hub will vote to disburse grants to agencies who have a relationship and a need vs a guy who submits a grant and wonders why its never approved (that was me).
