The Command Center Specialist is an individual contributor position within the Office of Protective Operations. The Command Center is a 24 hour a day, seven day a week security operations center. The Command Center Specialist is responsible for supporting effective and uninterrupted application of best practice security procedures to the residence and surrounding property. The Command Center Specialist supports daily operational coordination of security related functions, to include access control, intrusion and fire alarm systems, telephone and radio communication systems, K-9 program activities, mail and package screening procedures and residential event security planning

The Command Center Specialist typically reports to the Residential Security Manager.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Demonstrate knowledge of the overall operations and activities of the residence in support of the Executive Protection team and activities
Responsible for patrolling the property, both interior and exterior, in partnership with K-9 team to ensure awareness and a high degree of action readiness
Demonstrate awareness and manage access control for all visitors and employees on the property
Responsible for credentialing of all employees, staff, vendors and visitors
Responsible for monitoring of CCTV
Follow established protective operations and business procedures consistently and in accordance with our policies and values
As needed, travel, domestic or international, may be required and may include weekends and holidays
Additional duties may be assigned during travel to ensure the safety and protection of the principals, as needed and directed by the Director, Protective Ops
Monitor intrusion and fire alarms and maintain continuous system operations
Demonstrate proficiency with telephone and radio communication systems. Responsible for the monitoring and accurate transmission of information
Demonstrate professional communication at all times
May assist with and monitor K-9 program activities
Knowledge of operating screening equipment and operations of mail and package screening procedures
Support and assist with planning and staffing activities related to house events
May be required to perform elevated responsibilities related to executive protection duties as directed by the Director, Protective Ops, to include:
o coordination of site advance work
o ensuring safe and effective principal movement, and
o supporting efficient operational and logistical coordination from the beginning to the end of a protective movement
Responsible for coordination of security needs, including scheduling for on-site events/functions
Perform other duties as assigned by OPO leadership, including but not limited to addressing building and equipment safety and security issues/needs
Experience establishing & maintaining relationships with individuals at all levels of an organization, with government authorities, and with vendors
MUST be able to calmly and professionally work/negotiate with all levels of business and political leadership, as well as members of the client's and visited/visiting organizations
Must be (and maintain themselves) in excellent physical condition with height and weight proportionate


QUALIFICATIONS:
 Excellent and professional verbal and written communication skills
 Ability to work a flexible schedule including days, evenings, weekends and holidays
 Ability to meet physical fitness requirements
 Basic computer skills, including but not limited to MS Office
 Basic first aid and/or first responder skills
 Subject to extensive background, medical, and psychological evaluation

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
 Relevant work experience, a college degree, or course work study related to security/safety, or law enforcement experience
 3-5 years of security/safety experience preferred
 Military experience preferred

Salary Info

Pay range for initial hiring is between 45k-70K
