Ironman on NBC
This Saturday, 13 December, NBC will broadcast the 2008 Ford Ironman
Triathlon World Championship. - 90 minute show begins at 2:30 pm EST (11:30 am on the West Coast). - Features Navy SEALs CDR Keith Davids (CO SEAL Team ONE) and Petty Officer David Goggins (Naval Special Warfare Center) who parachute into the waters off Kona, Hawaii to begin their race. - NSW's LCDR Damon Dixon returns to Kona on the Navy Triathlon Team. - NSW Group ONE's SOC Marty Taylor completes his second Ironman of 2008. I watched the video on Goggins, that guy is a machine, running 450 miles a month on average.

Unfortunately wasn't able to make it home in time from my workout with papa smurf although I did see the piece on Commander Davids he is a machine.

John Marinovich, combat systems officer, littoral combat ship Independence, 33, finished 385 out of the 1,736 athletes competing, with an overall time of 10 hours, 10 minutes and 31 seconds, according to the world Ironman Web site. His swim time was 55 minutes and 17 seconds; his bike time was 5 hours, 27 minutes, and 52 seconds; and his run 3 hours, 37 minutes and 6 seconds.
* Lt. Jeff Tomaszewski, Naval Postgraduate School, Monterey, Calif., 33, finished in 486th place with an overall time of 10 hours, 23 minutes and 13 seconds. His swim took him 1 hour, 20 minutes and 4 seconds; his bike 5 hours, 24 minutes, and 55 seconds; and the run 3 hours, 29 minutes and 9 seconds. * Lt. Cmdr. Damon Dixon, FORCE oceanography/deputy technical special reconnaissance officer, Naval Special Warfare Command, 37, finished 524 with an overall time of 10 hours, 27 hours, 32 seconds. Dixon completed the swim in 58 minutes and 33 seconds; the bike in 5 hours, 22 minutes and 42 seconds; and the run in 4 hours and 13 seconds. * Special Warfare Operator 1st Class David Goggins, 33, finished 941st with an overall time of 11 hours, 24 minutes. He completed the swim in 1 hour, 18 minutes and 32 seconds; the bike in 6 hours, 4 minutes, and 55 seconds; and the run in 3 hours, 45 minutes, and 41 seconds. * Cmdr. Keith Davids, commander, SEAL Team 1, 40, finished 942nd with an overall time of 11 hours, 24 minutes. He finished the swim in 1 hour, 4 minutes and 40 seconds; the bike in 5 hours, 45 minutes, and 18 seconds; and the run in 4 hours, 23 minutes and 23 seconds. * Cmdr. Kristin Barnes, officer in charge, Afloat Planning System, Pacific Operational Support Division, Pearl Harbor, Hawaii, 38, finished 1,066th with an overall time of 11 hours, 47 minutes and 1 second. She finished the swim in 1 hour, 18 minutes and 50 seconds; the bike in 6 hours, 1 minute and 23 seconds; and the run in 4 hours, 18 minutes and 21 seconds.

Marty Marty The One Man Party!! Watching him go crazy in Guam was something everyone should witness!! LOL. Keith Davids was XO at ST7 when I was there. He's one of the best O's I've ever worked for. Congrats to all those who competed!!
