Fort Huachuca/Sierra Vista

Anyone there or been there in the last year or so?

I will be heading there at the end of the month to work at Garrison.

Just kinda looking out for a layout of the place and if there are any shitty places to stay away from housing wise.

thanks.

Police Chief for the Garrison.

The first Director of Emergency Services I worked for liked the idea of "Branch Chief" for the various branches we had in the Directorate. He just came off a COCOM Staff so one can only thing that's where he got it from.

I was/am the LE Branch Chief, we have a Physical Security Branch Chief, a Access Control Branch Chief, and a Fire Branch Chief.

All the Supervisors that fall beneath us are Section Chiefs. As in, Police Investigations Section Chief, Traffic Collision and Investigations Chief, Desk/9-1-1 Chief, etc... for my Branch.

Last two Directors have just went with it. Who knows what the new one does when he/she gets here as the billet goes from 04 to 05.

If you've got some time, set aside a couple of afternoons to find some of that "lost gold" a Huachuca soldier by the name of Robert Jones swears is buried in the area around the Huachuca mountains.

Supposedly it's a cache that was buried there by bandits, I never heard about this legend when I was stationed there for 4 months back in '90. Sounds like another tall tale.
