Jackson Hole in 2007 after a near 20" dump and bluebird skies all day. Easily the best powder day of my life.

And the decision's been made. Since the day I left I've missed the town, the people and the mountains. Looks like I locked in a good deal today and will be moving back to the best mountain town in America... in 8 days.

Enjoy it to the fullest.

Skiing the white ribbon of death has about as much appeal to me as banging my head against the wall.

If last season's any indication, I think there won't be any worries about having to cram onto the WROD for too long.

Not that we had any worries last season. It was epic!

Since my brother now lives in Colorado Springs, I'll be flying out there this winter to snowboard. Anybody down for a link up in the area? What is it like an hour or two from there to some good slopes?

Mixedload, your posts keep making me want to take up snowboarding again. It's awesome to see how excited you get each season.

Shit's expensive for a family outing.

I'm in the area. Within two hours there is plenty. Winter Park. Keystone. Arapahoe Basin. Breckenridge....Plenty. I spent about 10 days at Breck last year and loved it. Weekdays with less crowds, after a good storm.... awesome.

You can hit Monarch, which is close to Salida. Definitely good skiing there and much less crowded than anything in Summit County.

One of my best friends drives from the Springs to Wolfcreek all the time to get the goods and looking at the weather models, this winter is going to be excellent for southern CO and northern NM.

Come out my way this winter. You'll lose your mind.

Thanks man and yes it unfortunately has become insanely expensive, which is bullshit.

Seasons passes have become unaffordable for many people when everyone should be able to ski. I still don't understand how resorts think it's ok to charge $800 for a minor, but that's just part of their hustle. The Epic Pass now includes Park City, which is huge, IMO. It's now by far the best deal in the world. If only they could get their hands on JHMR, I'd be in heaven.

Until then it's either a Mountain Collective pass for me or I'll bite the bullet and try to get my hands on a Season's pass. There'll be plenty of BC laps this winter though.

Are you coming out of the closet? Cause after that video, unless it gets good after awhile I am starting to wonder if I should come visit!

I'm going to be coming up to Carson from Huachucha on the 19th of this month to do a job fair on the 21st. I'm taking Thursday the 20th off and plan on doing either ABasin, or Loveland for that full day if conditions permit. Beer and a steak is on me if someone wants to ride.
