Brother, sorry that I missed your intro. (Yes, we are getting older).

All, Slammer567 was a Med Lab instructor in the old days. He is a former SF real deal.

Welcome JD24.

You may wish to send your Q Course graduation dates, ODA assignments, and personal references to myself or one of the other SF mods via PM for verification.

Thanks.

I'm a retired 180A. I served with the 2/508 Abn Inf in the 82nd from 73-75. I completed the Q course in 1979 as a 91B3S and was assigned to 2/10th SFGA at Devens. I became a 180A in 1985 and was reassigned to 2/5th SFGA at Bragg. I stayed with 2/5 SF serving at the ODA, Company and Bn level until 1997 when I moved to Group S-3. I retired from AD on 2/1/09 as CWO(3) after 26 years of service with 21 of these spent in SF training & and at Group level and below. As a side note, I think the "The Fat Guy" a member of this forum, was my team leader for a while on ODA 565 at Campbell.

Hello

Hello all. I was in 10th Group from 1994-2001 in 2nd Battalion Support Company at Ft. Carson, CO, I was Intell, NOT claiming the long tab here. I met tons of great guys there that have helped me get to where I am today. I worked for DHS from 2001-2005, then Triple Canopy in Haiti in 2005. I am currently in Camp Liberty, Iraq doing a contract for Biometrics. I look forward to meeting new people here. Thank you.

Thank you for acceptance, In a nut shell.. I joined the Infantry out of high school, went to Fort Bragg 3/504th A co. Did a tour to Afghanistan. ETS'd - Got a job in a wire rope mill (Tool and Die) got laid off, lost everything. I would rather be poor then work in another factory.. Joined the National Guard for a 20k bonus and to earn some easy deployment cash. I am still an E-4 with 9 years in because I am not a yes man and will tell a officer to go f*ck himself. I love starting bar fights when everyone is laughing and happy. And to sum out my military experience I can use a map and compass to navigate I do not need GPS, and I also think our 5.56 is a fail, and 6.8 should be an infantry caliber.

Re-introduction

Not sure if I posted in here before or not. if I have, it's been a while and I have not been real active on here.

Active duty from 85-93 then Guard since then. Have worked as UH-1 / UH-60 crew chief and C23 Flight Engineer. Also did a stint as an OH-58 Aeroscout observer.

Did a couple years in Afghanistan as a contractor running a GAU 17 from the door of a Huey. Currently in Iraq hauling all manner of shit around in the C23.

Looking to get a few questions answered and learn about anything I can while I am here. If a discussion heads towards my lane of knowledge, I'll be happy to pass any info I can on to others.

Thanks for having me.

Hello Everyone!

Special Boat Unit 12 1986-1989. I miss it to this day. What did I learn? Never Quit. Lead from the front and by example.

I now work for MSFT, and at times get to assist our brothers in the field with their technical issues. I'd like to find old teammates from SBU/T12.

Hello friends, no military service here, but some civilian support of a federal law enforcement agency, with a bunch of time on and off in China and Taiwan.

Welcome Marine. and thanks for joining. There are a couple Kroean-era men here but no Marines as far as I know. Give us a good sea story when you get a chance.

Again, welcome.
