I think the winning ticket is going to be "Meteor/EMP". I'm going to have bumper stickers printed up. Ebola is too messy and a solar flare too hard for the populace to understand.

It'll take to long for a Meteor, lets just reset it by launching a couple hundred nukes across the world. That way we can go pre 1900s just to ensure the stupidity is killed off.

+1. I thought he did a good job, even though I don't agree with everything he wrote.

Its a nice feeling isn't it?

I can't edit so quoting....

I don't understand this:

Quote:
Cornwell said they never saw Mateen; he said the shooter had vanished inside the dimly lit club as Cornwell and the other officers followed the sounds of screams and echoing gunfire to the bathroom area where they presumed the gunman was now holed up. He said they aimed their assault rifles toward that area as the sounds of gunfire stopped. He said that they then followed orders to hold their position for what he described as “15 or 20 minutes — could’ve been longer” until the SWAT team arrived.
Multiple officers inside with rifles and they are told to hold then extract.....paving the way for a 3 hour negotiation.....How many people bled out in that time? How many more shot?

I've been wondering the same thing since I heard it. They formed up and went in working it as an active shooter team on the spot. Drove suspect into a corner and boxed him in. Things went static and cops started helping people get out. Then the active shooter team was ordered out? According to victims, suspect wandered in and out of bathrooms after that, so it appears the active shooter team ceded ground allowing the suspect access back to downed victims......repeat....appears that way.

One other note.....everyone else watching how this is distilling down to a conservative vs liberal belief. If your liberal, you apparently cannot believe that "radical Islam" is responsible for any of these shootings. It's all about evil guns and republicans, with a little mental health issues thrown in.
We all know politicians will use events to further agendas. But what's the end game of the current admin, and its refusal to call these what they are. What is the presidents overarching goal in refusal, and his attempts to further divide our country.
I guess my point is, I don't think .gov really really understands where people's minds are at right now and what tinderbox they actually have. A friend, non LE, non Mil, says to me in the gym,
" I feel like I'm being boxed into a corner with no way out.....I'm ready to fight." This is just a regular guy. If "normal" people, feel this way, and I've heard others say similar, coupled with I'm sure how "we" feel, we have very very ripe conditions for unintended consequences as the .gov is tone deaf to this in my opinion.
Your thoughts?

Different people may be ready to fight for different reasons.

Just like the Dem v Repub split, the liberal pro-government solution group and the pro-liberty self reliance group may up frustrated with each other and fight each other.

First carnage, then cameras, then knee-jerk reactions, then backlash, then the deluge.

+2. But maybe not having to agree with everything anyone writes is the bigger picture.

Thanks for posting that, Gavin.

Even AQAP is getting tired of our political spin.

So Confusing...

I had thought that we are supposed to allow people to be what they self-identify as being, and it's hateful to do otherwise. Caitlyn Jenner self-identifies as a woman, so we should respect that, right? Why won't the Obama Administration and the Justice Department respect Mr. Mateen's self-identification as a Jihadi? Why does the Federal Government want to deny him his true identification? Why are they so hateful?

Media/Liberals/People still asking, "Why did he do this?".......Hmmm...He called 911 and told them why he was doing it, and he posted on Facebook stating why he was doing it. People are idiots.
