Two police officers killed in shootout!

Details are still sketchy, but two Brookhaven Ms. Police officers were killed early this morning in a shootout with multiple suspects. Early reports say one suspect is dead and another hospitalized. Names have not been released pending notification of families. This is my local PD and I know most of the guys personally! Please keep their family, friends, and co-workers in your prayers!

Terrible. RIP.

At least they killed one. Keep the other alive then hang him.

Both funerals received really nice floral arrangements from the New York Yankees organization! I've never been a big baseball fan but now the Yankees will always be my team!

Not something I would have expected.

You probably wouldn't have expected the Yankees to be the only MLB team NOT to host an LBGTQ Pride Night, either - but they don't.

Steinbrenner and the Yankees are pretty well known for reaching out to the families of fallen officers.

When Michael Chesna was murdered by some piece of shit in Weymouth, Massachusetts recently Bob Kraft showed up to the police station by himself that afternoon and was seen carrying an envelope. Nobody has said a word about it but I assume he was providing financial support to the family.

To remember, and then go back to the ledgers and the commuter train, that was impossible. He knew he would eat his heart out if it ever came to that."

The Yankees sent flowers to Deputy Kunze's funeral as well. The organization has been doing it for awhile.
