Thumbs up Tin Tin

My 8 year old nephew, watching him for a few days. No video games allowed . Only hard playing outside or reading indoors allowed.

He is totally absorbed into reading Tin Tin in Tibet.

Love the Tin Tin comic books - and great for young minds.

That's awesome.

One of my friends was complaining her kids don't "do anything outside like we used to no matter what she says" Except she has bought them phones, tablets, video game consoles, lets them play with them at the table, during movies, has DVD set ups in her van so they can watch tv in the car and so on..

But she can't make them go outside apparently. Well no shit, they have no reason to, you've given them everything to keep them occupied inside.

I remember those from when I was a kid. Great cartoons.

If you’re inside, act like it. Read, do homework, help Mom etc.

If you’re outside, act like it. Run, jump, get dirty, try not to get hurt... if you get hurt you’ll get fixed up. If you get dirty, you will get sprayed down in the back yard with the hose.

I hope he gets it. If not today, someday.

I pretty much grew up on a diet of Tintin.
Fantastic stories for kids, that I believe to be exactly what young kids (especially boys) should be reading.

Btw, the animated movie that came out not long ago is highly recommended. They managed to not butcher it as i honestly had expected.

This just reminded me of Iraqis calling one of our guys Tin Tin. A lot of snickering and unintelligible jibber jabber with "Tin Tin" being the only word you could catch.
