Hell or High Water

This one looks pretty good, sounds like an updated modern version of an old western showdown between a couple of brothers robbing banks and a wily old Texas Ranger on the verge of retirement.

Jeff Bridges is the Ranger, Chris Pine (aka Captain Kirk) is one of the brothers and Ben Foster (best character actor around right now, IMO) is the other.

Might even get me to give up my long standing aversion to movie theaters instead of waiting for it to come out on DVD.

Anybody out there seen it yet? Just came out yesterday.

Just saw it. Everyone in it is fantastic, especially Bridges. Highly recommend.

Just finished watching the movie.

BLUF: Very good film with solid acting from everyone. Script and soundtrack were on the mark as well.

It reminds me of an old western movie, where the good guys and the bad guys aren't too easy to discern.

The wife and I saw it last night. Very good movie. Jeff Bridges does a great job. The 2 young actors( I think they're bigger names in the movie world, but I don't think I've seen them in anything), were good as well.
I don't want to give anything away, but highly recommend it.

Two young actors - Chris Pine is Captain Kirk in the "Star Trek" reboot movies. Ben Foster was in "Lone Survivor" and "3:10 to Yuma", among others.

Ben Foster has been in lot of movies, he's like a chameleon. Check him out in Alpha Dog, also worth viewing The Program where he plays Lance Armstrong.

Ben Foster and Jeff Bridges were great in this one. It has that dark theme almost (not quite) like No Country for Old Men. Pretty good.

Slow start, great scenery and music, and agree with others on the old cowboy movie feel at times. Overall 4/5.

Ben Foster played opposite Jason Statham in the remake of The Mechanic a few years ago. Great character actor and 'chameleon' describes him perfectly.

The bad guy from the "3.10 From Yuma" remake, right? Good actor.
