That's where I am. It's always hot/humid in the summer here, but this summer has probably been the most brutal I've seen. Luckily, I live a block from the beach, so it's a sub-5 minute walk to the water for me to cool off/stare at excessively hot chicks.

And 1 block away from the next huge tsunami.

I live in a little hook near the mouth of Tokyo Bay, so the chances of a tsunami getting me are pretty low. Don't get me wrong, if one's coming, I'll grab my kids and beat feet for the high ground, but it won't affect my neighborhood as bad as other places.

Brother, I don't know what brought that on, but I will certainly be praying that it is dealt with and fixed.

In 2007, His wife has stolen checks from me. Wrote some from a closed account at a store her friend owns, checks bounce, warrants issued for my arrest. I call the police to figure it out, they send me copy of the checks. It's her handwriting forging my signature. My father was a police officer for the city in which this took place. I didnt press charges because I was afraid it would ruin his career and jeopardize his ability to care for my sister and brother.

2009 she repeats the process, uses my checks while I'm deployed. Blames it on my fiance at the time. Father asked me not to press charges. So I dont, because I'm still worried about his ability to care for my siblings.

In 2012 I hear she abused my brother and sister while they lived there.

We had an understanding that I didnt wish to see or talk to her. He was coming up to visit, told me she was tagging along. I expressed my concerns and he essentially told me I made all the stuff up and it never happened and that I'm a disgrace.

Even though her son never graduated high school. Has a meth problem and has been arrested numerous time. Her daughter has a baby by a meth dealer.

Somehow I'm the bad guy in all this?

After reading your post of the situation...I can only offer this.

A Robin Williams psychoanalysis from Good Will Hunting.

It's not your fault.

I know that probably doesn't help.

Not at all! In fact, one day he will wake up and reality will hit him and he will realize all the things he missed doing with you and the time he missed spending with you because of his putting her before you.

My father did the exact same thing with my sisters when he married my step-mom. For whatever reason, he put her before all of us and it reflected in the way he treated us after marrying her. He did a 180. She was always right (even when she was clearly wrong) and we were always wrong.

We never gave him any issues whatsoever. After I went to bootcamp, two sisters ran away from home. One got my mother's permission to marry a guy she didn't love at 16 in order to move out. The others did things that they are now embarrassed for.

Flash forward 20 years and Dad realized he messed up and finally made up with them.

Sometimes, people are horrible simply to serve as an example of exactly what you DO NOT want to be.

Remember, you did everything right and he chose to believe what he wanted to believe -- even though it was wrong. Continue doing what is right and drive on. Things will work themselves out.

Thanks for all the support gents. Unfortunately I'll just have to draw a line in the sand and let him lie in the bed he made.

That's the spirit and the right attitude.
Maybe someday you'll make peace.

My old man was so bitter he wrote a couple of paragraphs in his will directed at me.
I had a good laugh.
