Grandfather in SF in VN

A guy I know, his grandfather passed away in 2017, was a 18D in Vietnam. My colleague wants to know how he might find any more information about him. He said he found out a little on Google. I could PM his name if helpful.
Thanks
DD

Facebook has a closed group you can join, do not have to be former SF, named “old school Special Forces rally point”. Many Vietnam era SF veterans hang out there. Might be a good place to ask.

SF Medic maybe, but not an 18D in Vietnam. PM me his particulars and I’ll check with some of the real old timers.

To answer, yes, he was at A-245 (Dak Seang) and A-246 (Mang Buk) in 67-68.
The 18 series came out in the mid ‘80s, well after Vietnam.

Good book I reviewed in book section about the history and progression of SF medics.

Glad to see he was a bona fide.

Too many times it turns out the other way.
