Just saw this on the news. SFC Sumers was from Natchez, just an hour away from me.

RIP Sir, and thank you for your service and sacrifice. Prayers out to the family, friends, and teammates.

Summers was with 2/20th SFG. He was killed along with SFC Grenado from 2/20 as well and CPT Ron Luce from 1/20.

They caught an IED. Just got the funeral detail notification.

RIP fellas.

Damm it!

I knew Sev, he was a great NCO, squared away and pleasure to hang with.

RIP Sev! You will be remembered.

I'm in contact with the unit. I'm hoping to get information on the time and location of the funeral ASAP. I'll let you all know when I get that information, and you can PM if you want to attend, or just want to send a card or something.

One funeral is in Texas, one is in Virginia, and the location of the third is still up in the air.

Roger that. I know SFC Summers was a Mississippi boy, so I'm expecting to fly into Jackson for that one. I'll keep trying to find out about the others. If you have a time and date or anything for the funerals in Texas and VA, please let me know.
