Looks like a good shoot to me.

I love a happy ending.

Damn good instincts/training on the cop's part. Got cover and weapon out quickly. Dead guy brought that thing up pretty quickly.

Like others, I love to see a happy ending.

All's well that ends well, but the cop got out with his cell phone in his hand. Bad on any stop but particularly one where the motorist has already shown non-compliance.

I noticed the bystander in the parking lot looked like he was on an afternoon stroll. Shooting didn't seem to phase him.

Yup. Late in the video you see him still trucking on down the way, in a parking lot, i think, still going in his original direction, and not moving a dot toward the trouble right at hand to his left.

Good shoot.

One less douchebag. Good on the officer for responding appropriately and effectively.

Outstanding job. I'm sure this video will be used as an example of what good looks like in regards to moving from concealment to a better option for cover. I think about the only critique for improvement I could possibly have is that he had good opportunity to reload when behind the vehicle, but he may have done that after the video cut off.

In regards to the cell phone, looks like it may get put in his pocket as he's getting out of the cruiser...regardless, it didn't inhibit his ability to respond appropriately.

Agreed, great shooting. A tactical reload would have been textbook perfect.

That dude walking didn't even speed up one bit! LOL

Sure this scenario happens all the time, but it reminds me of :

The Dinkheller video... Every academy or use of force training shows that dashcam video.

Here's an expanded video that includes the dash cam footage as well as the body cam. No question it was a good shoot.

Even a better shoot. Drawing down on a cop behind light cover with his pistol pointed at you? What a douche.

One of the comments in the article brought it up, and a couple of people remarked on the comment, the last one brought a chuckle:

Commentor 1:Did anyone else notice the guy walking to the left. Just strolling along, not giving a crap.

Commentor 2:yes...with all those bullets flying and he never skipped a beat...strange indeed. Deaf maybe???

Commentor 3:Stoned? Visiting from washington, chicago, or baltimore?

dash cam shows that the bad guy did get off a round, while he was staggering in the street. Of course at this time, maybe this dude had a record and just didn't want to go back to jail, but this looks like suicide by cop to me.

Which one put the round through the passenger window? To me it looked as if it was the perps final shot.
