The scientific community has developed a forecasting methodology for ticks. The larger the population of white footed mice, correlates with more ticks.

Up here in the NE they are everywhere. One of my friends actually lost sight in one eye from Lyme. Eventually it came back, but only after many months, and far too many pirate jokes.
