Netflix "Bright"

Sci/Fi Fantasy... cop buddy flick where the gang bangers are off the hook. Great CG, interesting action, dialogue. drags a bit at the end but still worth a look.

It was an interesting way of throwing race, social status and class into a cop movie...

Liked it myself. Nice popcorn burner for the PG-13 crowd.

I'm pretty easy to please but this was the worst movie Netflix has ever made. Maybe not the worst but it's pretty bad.

I like Will Smith's movies but this was a dumb move on his part.

Thought it would be better if they made it a series vs a movie.
Orcs, elves,dragons, faeries, magic.
Too much for 2 hours of movie.

A whole lot of talk about the dark lord, ehh movies not long enough to care about it.

needed 10 episodes to introduce story and different variations of lore.
I've heard the 2nd movie is already greenlit.

I enjoyed it once, but a bit of it was to ho hum to watch again any time soon.

I thought it was an interesting storyline. Reminded me a bit of the old Alien Nation movie.

I agree with above though, it would have been better to over it over episodes to introduce the background and so forth.

Wow! That was intense and different. On Netflix. Will Smith playing his usual type of character paired up with an Orc (yes, an Orc), both LA cops, fighting evil elves over a missing magic wand. Highly entertaining action flick.

Opening scene with the fairy.....lol and at same time .

Well dang, just saw another thread on it, did not show up I search cause of the "". Mods please merge my post if you can.

I liked it. Not your traditional cop movie or Will Smith flick, but good nonetheless. I recommend it. It has some magical elements and stuff. Which is to be assumed and expected with the Ork as a partner.

In the 90s there was a compilation book called Bordertown based on this same premise - fairy world and humans cohab-ing together. I loved it, and wasn't disappointed with Bright in the same vein.

I liked it as well and agree I think it would have been better as a series, I believe there will be at lease one follow up movie.

Netflix and Amazon are really putting out some good quality shows, I think HULU is getting into it as well; I just wish the series were 20 episodes per year instead of ten.
