Luther H. Smith, Tuskegee Airman, MOH recipient passes

Luther Smith, one of the original WWII Tuskegee Airman passed away Wed, December 9th, 2009 in Bryn Mawr Hospital.

133 combat missions over Germany before he was shot down.

RIP Sir.

Capt. Smith was not a MOH recipient. He and other Tuskegee Airmen were awarded The Congressional Gold Medal on 2007. He was awarded the Distinguished Flying Cross among others, and was a POW.
