The fact that it was also done in a manner that scared the bejesus out of the enemy was just that much more motivating for me as a young man.

I felt the overwhelming primal pull to become such a man and join their ranks to fight beside them. I am honored to have even had the opportunity to serve in any capacity, let alone on the SEAL teams and in combat with such great men.

Although there are plenty of worthy heroes, the Vietnam era spooky bad asses will always remain my personal favorite. God bless each and every one of them for setting an example of honor, bravery and uncompromising violence of action against our enemies. What a great legacy.

The older I get the more I realise how true the old saying is "we stand on the shoulders of giants"... The US Navy Seals stood to the uptmost values of the true warrior and stood the test of time against some fierce odds... every age has its leaders and warriors, those whom we admire and look up to for standards and expections, from Vietnam to the Termopolye... the principles of honour, courage, intellect, descipline and committment echo through each age and stand as cornerstones of the freeworld giving us strength and protecting us from the forces that would turn our structures into rubble..

I too think it a great legacy and thank all those whom went one step more then those they protect to make sure we hand our freeworld structure to the next generation...
